Dr. and Mrs. Agins encourage their students to approach the prescription of medication with critical thinking, to consider the potential benefits, limitations, and dangers. With decades of experience and having been asked nearly every conceivable pharmacology-related question from their many audiences, these experts bring humor and wit to the podium, breathing life into a dry and difficult topic. MEMORABLE . INFORMATIVE . ENJOYABLE Their goal is that this course be the most interesting and useful pharmacology continuing education experience for everyone in attendance.

LAS VEGAS What happens in Vegas may not always stay in Vegas but it is nearly impossible to resist the excitement of the Entertainment Capital of the World. Once a desert oasis frequented by the Rat Pack and notorious mobsters, the sprawling mecca is now a world-class destination designed to help visitors live their lives, or at least their weekends, to the fullest. Boasting restaurants from the world’s greatest chefs - Joël Robuchon, Thomas Keller, and Emeril Lagasse to name a few - Las Vegas is home to a die-hard foodie scene while theaters on and off The Strip set the stage for Céline Dion, Cirque du Soleil, and the Blue Man Group. Nothing to wear? Las Vegas caters to shopaholics with luxury shopping arcades like The Crystals and Wynn Esplanade dotting The Strip. If this is your chance to escape, then the Japanese Ganbanyoku heated stone beds at The Spa & Salon at ARIA or the vitality pool at The Mandarin Oriental are ready to comfort you. If Las Vegas is your scene, be prepared to stay an extra day - we won’t tell your boss. Las Vegas Tourism www.lasvegastourism.com

SAN FRANCISCO Clang clang clang goes the trolley! An earthquake in 1906 shook the Northern California coastline transforming the remnants of the California Gold Rush into a blank canvas from which the new San Francisco could blossom. Blossom it has, constantly reinventing itself with each new flood of residents - Hippies in the 60’s, techies in the 90’s, and now urban families. While the crown jewel of Northern California seems as if it stretches from sea to shining sea, the BART and MUNI lines make exploring all corners of San Francisco - from the shopping districts of Union Square and the views of Presidio Park to the colorful personalities of the Haight Ashbury and architecture of the Mission District - doable on the tightest of schedules. Try the Embarcadero and the Ferry Building, a grand marketplace in the style of European food halls. Wander the displays of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, fresh on the heels of a multi-million dollar renovation. Or explore the new boutiques popping up in the Fillmore. If you’re looking for a treat, grab a coat and head west my friend! San Francisco Travel Assoc. www.sftravel.com

NASHVILLE Known as “Music City, USA”, Nashville is a city like no other in the world. The birthplace of country music, Nashville is the home of the Grand Ole Opry, America’s longest-running live radio show, and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Here, music is everywhere, every block home to a variety of venues and honky tonks where on stage you’ll find bands playing everything from country and bluegrass to jazz and swing. If art and history are more your style, the Parthenon, a replica of its Greek namesake, features a 42-foot statue of the goddess Athena while the Frist Center for the Visual Arts is filled with priceless treasures. New gardens and an interactive learning center highlight the The Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art making it a must see for both art and nature lovers. You will be treated to southern hospitality as you enjoy outstanding cuisine in the variety of Nashville’s restaurants, entertainment venues, and stores that vary from antiques to exclusive boutiques. Remember, breakfast here is truly an occasion! If you were country before country was cool, Nashville should be your destination. Nashville Tourism www.visitmusiccity.com COPYRIGHT 2018 .
