IS TRANSPORT INCLUDED? You’ll need to get yourself to your start destination & back home again at the end, but for the duration of your trip all transport is included, whether air-conditioned coaches, trains, cruises, ferries or speedy internal flights. You can find all the deets in your trip itinerary. With the exception of a few unguided departures, your trip will be led by one of our awesome, highly trained Trip Managers, guiding you from destination to destination. IS ACCOMMODATION INCLUDED? Yep! Wherever you go, we’re talking comfy, conveniently located hotels, fun hostels with awesome amenities, & our unique Special Stays. These are a mixture of Contiki’s own properties such as a French Chateâu or an Austrian chalet Haus Schöneck. As well as incredible partner properties such as a surf lodge in Portugal, a Riad in Marrakech, Luxury Glamping in the USA, Amazon Jungle eco-lodges or Jungle Tree Houses in Thailand. Sound good? There’s limited space on board our coaches, & we want you all to be as comfy as possible, so make sure you don’t lug too much luggage around. You’ll be able to store your main luggage in the storage compartment, then you’re also allowed one piece of carry-on luggage. This must be taken on & off the coach by you each day of the trip. FLEXDEPOSIT & CHANGE

WHAT IS FLEXDEPOSIT? If you cancel before 45 days prior to the trip departure date, the deposit can be credited to the cost of another Contiki trip, which is not less than 7 days duration, subject to the following conditions: a) the deposit may be gifted within 5 years of the cancellation date of the original booking; b) multiple deposits (because of back to back trips) cannot be combined & only one deposit can be credited per trip; c) multiple trips may be booked using multiple deposits; d) the reservation must be made & completed before the traveller attains 36 years of age (Contiki’s upper traveller age limit); e) FlexDeposit does not apply to any existing bookings, has no cash value & is non-refundable. A FlexDeposit benefit may be: a) gifted to family or friends, via an email confirmation to Contiki stating the donee’s name b) transferred for use with one of our sister brands (see ttc.com/brands) & must be applied to the reservation of a trip, within 5 calendar years of the cancellation date of the original booking. FlexDeposit does not include trips in Special Deposits, deposits for airline tickets (whether included as part of or additional to the trip) or deposits for Third Party Travel Products & excludes any funds that have been refunded to you. DO I HAVE TO PAY IF I CHANGE MY TRIP? Even if your travel plans change, you’ll never miss out or be charged fees for changing your booking before you pay your final balance, if you want to change the dates of your trip, swap onto another trip or even change your trip for a different region entirely, that’s all possible, without incurring fees.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS MYCONTIKI

WHAT’S MYCONTIKI? This is our platform to get all the info we need from you & give you all the info you’d like from us. We need you to register for your trip at my.contiki.com. This only takes a few minutes & means we’ll have: • Your personal details, including your email address & phone number. • Your emergency contact info & travel insurance details, just in case we need it. • Your dietary, medical or other special requirements you may have. • Your completed Travel Health Declaration before departure. Provided full payment has been received on time & registration is completed, travel documents will be available to download no later than 21 days prior to travel, as we don’t print these (save the trees!). You’ll also find out where your Contiki trip will start & exactly what accommodation you’ll be staying in – plus the answers to a host of other FAQs.

Contiki bears no responsibility for such information & will not be responsible for advising &/or obtaining required travel documentation for any guest, or for any delays, damages, &/or losses including missed portions of your holiday related to improper documentation or government decisions about entry.

GOLD SEAL PROTECTION

Contiki’s Gold Seal Protection (GSP) plan costs only A$99 per person (payable with your deposit only & is non-refundable) & includes: PRE-DEPARTURE CANCELLATION Cancellation by you for any reason without penalty prior to 30 days from the start date of your trip, either: i) if no Force Majeure Event has occurred when you cancel, the value of your Contiki Trip Prepayment will be refunded; or ii) if a Force Majeure Event has occurred causing you to cancel, the Contiki Trip Prepayment will be converted to a Future Travel Credit (FTC) of the same value. The FTC must be used for a Contiki trip or a trip on one of our Travel Corporation sister brands which departs within 24 months of your cancellation & no part of it can be redeemed for cash. If the price of the new trip is higher than the FTC, you will be responsible for the additional cost. If the price of the new trip is lower than the FTC, Contiki will provide an FTC for the difference. For the purposes of this clause, Contiki Trip Prepayment means all funds received by Contiki in respect of the land component of a trip excluding funds for: a) additional hotel nights not booked through Contiki; b) airline tickets (whether included as part of or additional to the trip); c) Third Party Travel Products; d) the GSP cost; e) any related cancellation or rebooking costs; & f) any cancellation costs & fees imposed by your travel agent. ON YOUR TRIP Should you, or someone in your booking, leave at any time during the trip for personal sickness reasons or be required to return to Australia due to injury, illness or death of an Immediate Family Member, you & the person in your booking will be refunded up to A$90 per person per day for the unused portion of the itinerary (in some cases hotels require a onenight cancellation fee). A medical certificate in relation to your Immediate Family Member is required. If you or an Immediate Family Member in Australia should fall sick while you are on your Contiki trip, we will take care of the additional cost of tickets for your earlier or later return home in the same booking class of air travel on the first available flight, provided you hold round-trip tickets on Contiki’s recommended airline(s) booked through Contiki from Australia. A medical certificate issued during the course of your trip in relation to you or your Immediate Family Member is required. Backdated certificates will not be accepted. For the purposes of this clause, Immediate Family Member means a parent, spouse or partner, sibling or child.

014 015 AGE RESTRICTIONS Travellers must be aged between 18 & 35 inclusive at the commencement of your trip to travel with Contiki. Our trips are designed for this age group, so please bear that in mind when you book. On some experiences as part of your trip you may be joined by other travellers who are not in the 18-35 age group. Countries have different age limits for the consumption of alcohol & other activities. You must ensure you satisfy the age limits before participating in any activity with age limits (such as the consumption of alcohol) & you release us from all liability & claims arising from your inability to participate in such activities. HEALTH, REDUCED MOBILITY, MEDICAL CONDITIONS, DISABILITIES & ASSISTANCE WHEN TRAVELLING If you suffer from reduced mobility or have any other disability or medical condition which may affect your holiday arrangements, you must provide us with full details before booking. We don’t provide personal devices & can’t guarantee disabled access in all cities. If you have any concerns about mobility or a disability, give us a call & one of our team would be delighted to answer any questions you have. SPECIAL REQUESTS If you have any dietary requests, allergies or any other special request, please advise us at the time of booking. Although we will endeavour to pass any reasonable requests on to the relevant supplier, this is not confirmation that all requests will be met. It’s your responsibility to double check & reconfirm any requirements with all holiday suppliers. WHAT IS A KICK-START MEETING? Every trip has a kick-start meeting, hosted by the Trip Manager, which happens either the night before the trip is due to start or in the evening of the first day of the trip . The kickstart meeting is where you will meet some of your group for the first time, as well as your Trip Manager. In this meeting, your Trip Manager will give you an overview of how things work on Contiki, a health & safety briefing, as well as take all necessary information/documentation they may need from you.

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED

Flights to your start destination & back home again, serious bits like travel insurance & any visas you might need, fun stuff like drinks in the club, ubers from the club, tips, those sneaky tipples you took from the mini bar - all this kind of stuff is on you.

WHAT ARE FREE TIME ADD-ONS? Your trip will come with a bunch of awesome included experiences, but our Free Time AddOns are the experiences we’ve picked that we think will take your trip to a whole new level. The experiences are built around activities or topics we know you love, so think food, adventure, exploration, history, culture, fashion, music - you name it. But it’s up to you if you want to do them - travel exactly how you like to. IS TIPPING COMPULSORY? Some tips are included for services on trip, however tips/gratuities for your Coach Driver, Trip Manager & Local Guides are not. If you feel like they’ve done a good job, then it’s polite to tip them, but it’s never mandatory. WHAT IF I LEAVE THE TRIP EARLY? Just as we don’t cover your flights to or from the trip, we don’t cover the cost of getting home, even if you leave the trip early, due to bad behaviour, illness, or any other reason.

IS SKI OR SNOWBOARD HIRE INCLUDED? Ski & snowboard hire along with lessons are not included in Ski trips but we can happily help you out with where to book everything you need.

PASSPORTS, VISAS & OTHER ENTRY & EXIT REQUIREMENTS

WHAT PASSPORT DO I NEED? All guests must be in possession of a machinereadable passport valid for 6 months after their trip return date along with applicable visas. Due to government imposed security/ immigration measures, passport & emergency contact information is required for all guests prior to the release of travel documents.

WILL I NEED A VISA? Because the details change so much depending on what country you’re from & what country or countries you’re travelling to - we can’t tell you which Visas, Electronic Travel Authorisations (ETAs), affidavits or immunisations you’ll need. In some countries you may be subject to entry (reciprocity) fees &/or departure taxes/exit fees which will becollected at the airports upon entry/ departure by local government authorities. We do definitely recommend getting any visas you need before you travel, as it’s not always possible or quick to get them at the borders. For all the latest info on the travel docs, visas, requirements & fees associated with entry & exit of countries, you must check with your Travel Agent or local consular services. It’s up to you to ensure you have all the right documents with you when you travel.

GENERAL INFORMATION & CONDITIONS

MINIMUM NUMBERS Some trips are based on a minimum number of persons travelling. If a trip fails to satisfy minimum numbers, the trip may be cancelled or rescheduled.

BOOKING WITH A TRAVEL AGENT If you book your holiday through a travel agent then you acknowledge & agree that for your booking to be confirmed & maintained, we must have received all payments from your travel agent as detailed in the Summary Booking & Cancellation Terms. You also agree that your travel agent is independent of Contiki & our control; & that unless expressly authorised by us in writing, we are not bound by or liable for anything affecting us that the agent may or may not do. OVERLAPPING/MODULAR TRIPS To offer our travellers more flexibility around when they start & how long they travel for, some of our trips are sections (or modules) of larger itineraries. This means that some of them overlap – for example, some of your group may have already been travelling before you join them, & may continue travelling after your adventure has come to an end.
