The Contours Travel Team Ted, Managing Director of Contours Travel, first explored South America as an overland bus driver in the mid-1970s. Since then he has been back more than 100 times over the past 40 years! Ted has travelled throughout the Caribbean and overland from the Mexican border all the way down to the southernmost tip of Latin America. Ted just received the 2015 Lord Mayor Commendation award. This prize recognises the longevity and success of Contours Travel as a business and the valuable contribution that Ted has made to the city of Melbourne. Heather is back! After working for Contours Travel for over 5 years, Heather went on a second overland one-year-trip around South & Central America to discover new hidden gems and refresh her already wide knowledge. Heather’s travel experience: Antarctica, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala & Cuba.
Ines is from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has been working at Contours for over 5 years, is an expert on everything related to her home country and is in charge of the Contours Collection Small Group Tours. Ines’ travel experience: Everywhere in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Mexico, Belize & Guatemala.
Rod entered the travel industry as a Group Tour Leader in Europe, Africa, Middle East & Asia. After escorting tours all over South America for over 6 years, he finally settled in Cuzco, Peru, before returning to Australia. Rod’s travel experience: Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador & Cuba.
Emma has travelled extensively through Latin America, backpacking overland from Mexico to Brazil and sailing though the Caribbean Sea. Emma’s travel experience: Mexico, Cuba, Belize, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina & Brazil.
Allison is the newest member of our reservations team, with many years of experience creating tailor made itineraries. She also spent 3 years as a Group Tour Leader travelling all over South America and Central America, including Cuba. Ally’s travel experience: Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Paraguay, Uruguay, Guyana, Panama, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Belize, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras & Cuba.
Carla is our new Chilean Office Administrator, with many years in the travel industry guiding tours in Santiago. Carla’s travel experience: Chile, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Cuba & Panama.

Agua Pura Contours Travel has joined forces with the Rotary Club of North Melbourne and created Project Agua Pura, a community project that relies on donations to provide water filters to schools in remote villages of the Andean Highlands and Sacred Valley. This will allow children to drink clean, bacteriafree water and, therefore, improve their health. Ways to Help: Donate a Water Filter: For only $50, you can send a filter to Peru which will be distributed by Rotary Club of Cusco to our approved NGOs working with these remote schools. Take the Water Filter on your South America trip: We can include in your itinerary a volunteering day to visit the communities, deliver the water filters and share in their everyday activities.
