THE ORIGINAL The blue and yellow pairing along with the dado border screams 1990s, but it goes to show that a mix of printed cushions and a Persian rug continues to be a timeless design trick.
THE UPDATE Proof that blue never goes out of style, we’ve picked a deep denim shade for the sofa, with texture coming from the brushed linen rather than jacquard weave. We’ve mirrored the mix of textiles, but gone for a softer wall colour.
