Grid-Tied Solar System Solar Power Installation for Alpha Technologies GmbH Schwabach, Germany

A worldwide provider of turnkey solar power system installations, Alpha commissioned a grid-tied photovoltaic system on the rooftop of its Schwabach warehouse facility in Germany as part of an effort to demonstrate Alpha’s own commitment to green practices.

Grid-tied Solar Power Case Studies

System Specifications System Power: Total of 42kW PV Array: (220) 170W Modules - South Side (16) 228W Thinfilm Modules North Side Solar Inverter: (3) 5kW (3) 8kW System Maintenance: Self cleaning, as more than 7° steep

The south side of the warehouse roof (fig. 1) includes 220 monocrystalline photovoltaic panels and the north side (fig. 2) 16 thinfilm modules connected by six 5-8kW inverters. Combined, both systems will generate a total of 40,500 kilowatt hours per year, which is roughly the amount required to power 5 homes. The resulting CO2 offset of 52,600 lbs or 23.8 tons is equivalent to preventing the emissions of more than 4 cars. One of the nation’s leading developers of turnkey photovoltaic systems for commercial, institutional and remote (off-grid) applications, Alpha Energy is recognized as a market innovator in packaging renewable energy technologies.
