CONTENT CREATOR | BUSINESSWOMAN

What does being an entrepreneur mean to you? Being an entrepreneur to me means “opportunity is where you create it” no matter the downfalls, the adversity you encounter, the rejections, you always bounce back and find a way to rise to the top, RESILIANCE trial and error, however most importantly its about starting when you’re not ready, taking that calculated risk, having faith and watching yourself grow

What was your motivation to become an entrepreneur? It was during a time I was faced with extreme adversity in my life, 16 years old I had gone though something traumatic, however that traumatic experience took me to the decision that I would never work for a man ever again and I was gifted two books by a mentor of mine and that was when I discovered my passion for personal development and the drive to get to know myself and reach a level of consciousness to become the woman I always promised that little girl inside me that I would be

What is the function of your company? I have multiple businesses and projects that I am involved in, the first one being that I am the business developer and strategist / partner in a refinishing company and we have taken what we know when it comes to the refinishing business and have created an online course which will be launched any day now, to provide the knowledge and opportunity for those people who are in search of obtaining financial stability and creating their own schedule, as we know that time is the most valuable asset

What have been the biggest difficulties as a woman that you encountered in this job? I would say the most difficult being that I entered this business at just 18 years old, no college experience, fresh out of high school and I would sit in these meetings with men way older than me, so of course the appearance of being so young and a female definitely made them underestimate me however I never allowed my age, nor the fact that I am a woman intimidate me or make me feel less intelligent than those before me If I didn’t know something I would act like I did than go home and watch videos online and learn whatever was needed to enhance my brain and synchronize with those around me.

There will be those who think that you are very lucky, so tell us also about the difficult times you have lived until you get here Well where do I begin? I think the most challenging obstacle for me was doing the hardest part which was working on everything within me, my flaws, creating a level of consciousness, learning to forgive and let go of anything that didnt serve me in order to have hardcore tunnel vision focus, failing successfully, not once, nor twice but multiple times, the rejections, times where I only had $2 00 in my bank account because I refused to give up and work for someone else I’ve been through it all My own personal trauma that would try and sneak its way into my life and take me down mentally and emotionally, depression, those negative thoughts sometimes it would hit me for a short period of time, but if it wasnt for my faith and trust in God and in myself I wouldnt be where I am today

You said some time ago that you would like to inspire people, make them believe in the success of their ideas and projects Don't you think that, in some way, you are achieving it with your own example? It’s funny you say this because I ironically say this to myself and to those around me, if you want to tell, lecture or teach someone something, than you better be the example I truly am proud of myself for overcoming the hardships in my life, the only thing I am 100% sure is that we all have a purpose in life and mine is being of service to others and I am doing just that

What is the most sacrificed to fulfill your dreams?

When something doesn’t workout, start from zero everytime, however I never really started from zero, because of the experiences I endured during my failures.I think that to get something you have to work for it, you decide which way to choose whether the easy or the difficult path, referring that we as people have the great advantage and freedom of the power of decision, you have to be consistent, disciplined and resilient to move on even when you have no strength to continue on, in the end your determination is what will result in the dream you want to fulfill

Did you never think of abandoning it? No matter how crazy the rollercoaster would get, I have never thought of getting off, ive wanted to kick, scream and cry but quit? No, I could not because than I would be giving up everything my inner little girl and I have prayed, worked and planned for

One question: what did you want to be "when you grew up"? Ironically I always dreamed of becoming an actress

You have opened many doors, but have others closed for you? I believe that I have opened many doors, some were temporary while others were slammed in my face as a learning lesson, life in general is a learning lesson to begin with I believe the doors that have closed for me had to happen in order to make space for new ones to welcome me in.

Do you think there is an objective formula that allows any businesswoman to achieve success? I truly in my heart believe that work on yourself first, take care of your mental health and well being, forgive and then block anyone or anything in your life that does not serve you and focus on you, focus on yourself, dont worry about what people think as long as you’re true to you and do not negotiate your morals, integrity and values than start when you’re not ready and watch yourself grow. Most importantly acquire emotional intelligence, self awareness get to know you personally all different phases of you and love every inch of your precious soul Kindness goes a long way

How far would you be willing to go to achieve your professional goals? I am willing to do whatever it takes, again as long as I do not compromise my values, morals or my integrity

How do you define your style, who do you draw inspiration from? I would define myself as an old soul, as someone who strives to reach a level of intellect and fulfillment within My inspiration being my mother, whom is my idol and the definition of a strong woman and of course my two favorite spirits Napoleon Hill and Dale Carnegie whom have been with me from the very beginning.

To almost finish the interview, being so young, what goals would you like to achieve? Help every single person that truly wants to succeed, has the drive and passion to do so, offering not only a job opportunity but a safe space where I can plant the same seed in them that was planted in me, sharing my knowledge, wisdom and learning from them as well. As a content creator my goal is to continue to grow millions of followers and utilze my platform not only for comedy entertainment but also to transmit joy, kindness while always being transparent, authentic also showing my entrepreneurial side, educating, sharing books on personal development, mental health awareness, sharing my experiece, my advice and offer the tools so those around me can create and live a life full of abundance, success and most importantly peace

What advice would you give to women entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs or those who want to become one? 1. OPPORTUNITY IS WHERE YOU MAKE IT, 2. START WHEN YOU’RE NOT READY AND WATCH YOURSELF GROW 3 NOBODY IS YOU, THAT IS YOUR POWER 4 GRATITUDE IS KEY TO SUCCESS 5 GOD GAVE YOU YOUR GIFT, DONT WASTE TIME SEEKING VALIDATION FROM OTHERS OR WANTING THEM TO BELIEVE IN YOU 6 NOBODY GETS TO TELL YOU WHO YOU ARE.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS: I want to give a huge and special thank you to my beautiful mother for being the example of what a true leader and a hardworking woman is and making me so proud and honored to wear her name on my back. My best friends Bella and Kevin, for no matter how much craziness ideas and business ventures I have done or have came up with, they’ve always supported me and never once tried to discourage me A HUGE thank you to my father, even though he was extremely hard on me, he taught me resilience and taught me that I had all of the healing capactites withinside me and I am the creator and I have control of my life. Thank you once again with love,

Kristen Medina
