•What does being entrepreneurial mean to you? Being entrepreneurial, to me, means leadership. It means setting a new tone for the way business should be done now and in the future. It means developing people and bringing out the best in them to be all they can be and risking financial resources to make it happen.
•What was your motivation to become an entrepreneur? I was passionate about what I had to offer and confident in what I could do. I didn’t think; I just did.
What does Gail Kasper Television, LLC do?Gail Kasper Television, LLC is a business consulting, brand building, and motivational speaking organization. • What is the most you’ve sacrificed to fulfill your dreams? My biggest sacrifices were time with friends, family - or even having fun. I didn’t vacation or take the breaks. I worked. My biggest return was that I loved what I did. No challenge was too big. I did what others were afraid to do and then helped ease their fear when they were ready to take a risk.
Did you ever think about abandoning your dream? As an entrepreneur, you are not only fighting for your dream, you are fighting for your next paycheck. I would never say that the dream is abandoned. It merely takes a different form. That may be because of a change in the business climate or because of a new trend, or perhaps you’re called to work for an organization due to the skills you’ve developed. Abandon a dream ONLY if something better comes a long, and only you can decide that.
• What did you want to be when you were growing up? When I was growing up, I wanted to be an actress. As a teen, I wanted to be a newscaster. Today, I live that dream as Host of the Philadelphia Channel.
• You have opened many doors, but have others been closed to you? Doors close all the time, especially when you reach for something big. But just because a door closes with one opportunity, like a Top 100 company or a sports team, doesn’t mean there isn’t opportunity with a competitor. With each closed door, there is a lesson. Surround yourself with good friends, and embrace it. •As we come to the close of the interview, being so young, what are your goals? I want to be a world-wide influencer for positive thoughts and direction. The world can turn on anyone; friends can turn, people can turn - but what we solidly have in the end is our own thoughts and the ability to choose direction. I know that I have been given a gift to see a positive path at a level many others are not yet capable of reaching. But if I can save them the time and heartache in figuring it out on their own while bringing peace into their lives, then I have accomplished something amazing. Then, just maybe the good feeling they have within themselves will be shared with someone else.
•What advice would you give to women entrepreneurs or any entrepreneur, or those who want to become one? Find what you love and do it extraordinarily. There is no easy road, but your passion will bring disciples who will not only follow you, but spread the good word of your service or product to others.
