COOPER CARRY
BRINGING YOUR VISION TO LIFE At Cooper Carry, we approach our work as a collaborative ecosystem. Cooper Carry’s leaders are advocates and authorities for their specialties, empowered by decades of expertise to make decisions that prioritize placemaking, civic space, and the greater good of communities, tenants, residents, and visitors. Since our founding in 1960, we have always believed that the space between buildings and within buildings is as important as the buildings themselves. This is why connectivity is at the core of what we do. We plan and design functional places that relate and react to those around them to create a cohesive, sustainable, experiencefilled whole, all in service of our mission to enrich life for those who come to live, work, learn, and play within the spaces we design.

WE ARE EXPERTS IN
Workplace Design Interior Design
Experiential Graphics
The Cooper Carry Interior Design studio’s favorite question is “Why not?” Why shouldn’t we incorporate sustainability as an integral part of every design decision? Why shouldn’t we all push further, past paint color and finish choice, out of our comfort zones, to create something truly functional and memorable? We do our best work both on and beneath the beautiful surface, taking our clients with us as partners to a bolder place where design becomes experience and interiors become tools – of culture creation, business development, brand expression, connection, and transformation.
Our graphic design services create better user experiences through clear and compelling experiential graphics. Our Experiential Graphics services include brand identity development, experiential graphic design, signage and wayfinding. We offer the talents of experienced professionals trained in environmental, graphic and industrial design, enabling the firm’s other designers to share ideas and integrate graphic design seamlessly into the architecture and landscape, and in turn, communicates important information about facilities to both visitors and occupants.
Programming Our programming and strategies services bridges design and engagement to shape human connections to spaces. We are passionate about defining and aligning your unique project vision with spatial and functional requirements. Our process identifies the complexities and challenges of each project scope and sets the tone for the design process that follows. We research, explore and ask questions in collaboration with project stakeholders to craft workplace strategies that are culturally driven, inclusive, and informed by data. We connect with stakeholders for engaged and candid conversations, navigating project teams to insights for better design decisions that create successful environments and experiences.
Mixed-Use ecosystem Cooper Carry’s mixed-use ecosystem gives us the ability to assemble an experiences and collaborative team that works together to deliver a successful project. As a firm comprised of diverse design professionals, we are united in our mission to elevate the human experience through design excellence. From interior design to landscape architecture, to experiential graphic services, we have the specialized capability to create a space that serves and inspires you and your audience.

WORKPLACE TRENDS Cultural Destination By re-imagining the office as a destination that embodies a company’s values and culture, employers can attract new hires while welcoming existing team members back into a blended, equitable environment that truly prioritizes the human experience.
“Hybrid” programming Working with the organization to target the best strategy for how their return to the workplace will be impacted by their on-paper headcount and growth versus the “hybrid” scenario and ratios they have implemented.
Rebalancing of “we” vs. “me” Exploring the changing percentages of “we” spaces used by the entire organization for innovation, collaboration, and cultural togetherness, with the dedicated “me” spaces with only one occupant and implied use.

Distributed technology With technology living historically only in dedicated conference rooms, there is a movement to redistribute technology into all areas of the workplace to facilitate team meetings, ideation, collaboration, and hybrid inclusion of participants both in person and virtual.
“Corporate” to “comfy” transition While the change in the workplace aesthetic to a more hospitality inspired environment is not new, the scale and importance of the shift in the employee experience to less “corporate” feeling spaces to those of more familiar, “comfortable” home like environments are increasing in relevance.
Hyper flexible & agile The future of the workplace is still changing and adapting to the new post pandemic world and it is crucial that spaces be designed to have integrated agility and flexibility in their DNA, which will allow for changes and alterations to be made over time.

sustainability Sustainability is the foundation of Cooper Carry’s connective design philosophy. Our workplace teams are LEED AP accredited and incorporate sustainable design practices in each project. Each project team member actively pursues sustainable design training. Our goal is to evolve the practice of architecture and design to help change the way people everywhere take on the shared responsibility of reducing demand for resources, such as energy and water, and for restoring the planet. We strive to understand your organization’s goals for achieving sustainability in the context of LEED and WELL requirements and also to reflect your organization’s support for social and environmental responsibility. For example, we assess the sustainability of materials, responsible sourcing, using recycled or upcycled materials, and maximize the advantages of daylighting and other variables that affect a space’s environmental performance.

ALTIUM PACKAGING ( F O R M E R LY C O N S O L I D AT E D C O N TA I N E R C O M P A N Y ) AT L A N TA , G E O R G I A
Altium Packaging (formerly Consolidated Container Company) has roots that go back to the earliest days of the plastics and packaging industry. In 2018, Cooper Carry renovated Altium's new headquarters office in a mid-rise building located just outside of the perimeter.
OWNER CONTACT JEFF BRUBAKER SR VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS SERVICES ALTIUM PACK AGING 500 WINDY RIDGE PARKWAY SE
The office faced a challenge - their dark and compartmentalized office floors offered little daylight to the interior cores and were disconnected from one another, requiring an elevator ride to move between floors. The renovations maximized natural daylight and views, and opened the office spaces for regular interaction and collaboration.
SUITE 1400 ATLANTA , GA 30339 678-742-4696 JEFF.BRUBAKER@ALTIUMPKG.COM
SCOPE 45,136 SF
The newly designed office features industrial elements such as concrete and wood that reflects Altium's manufacturing heritage, while also demonstrating an ever-evolving company to meet changing market demands. The design balances between raw and modern, yet comfortable and inviting for visitors and staff.

Two large spines of community hub, collaboration and conference spaces span from one end of the floor to the other. These spines encourage staff to work, meet, collaborate, or simply hang out with colleagues. The company’s rich history and brand story is on display in the surrounding common areas and adjacent staircase linking the two floors together. The result is a place where history is treasured, staff collaborate and a vibrant experience for all.

Edwards Andrews Alpharetta, Georgia
Edward Andrews Homes (EA Homes), an Atlanta-based custom builder turned to Cooper Carry to design their new 7,000 square foot design center. The company needed a fresh take on the typical builder showroom environment, foregoing the traditional kitchen and material vignettes for technology-based 3-D visualization. This allowed them to operate in a third of the traditional square footage. The technology platform was being developed simultaneously, with the intent to streamline the decision making process. Flexibility was a big driver, as they wanted to use the main design space for receptions too.

That is why this project evokes a very genteel, relaxed environment – almost home-like. Customers are able to meet with EA Homes design consultants to select every aspect of their new dream home.
Cooper Carry’s challenge was to take a non-descript two-story building and convert it into a venue that would promote a positive and memorable experience for customers engaged in designing their new home. The style of the design center did not necessarily need to reflect the homes that are built, but rather an atmosphere that captures a comfortable southern hospitality mixed with industrial setting.
