BRICKBATS to the lady who walks past my house daily at 6:15 am talking loudly on Facetime – I don’t want to hear your conversation.

BRICKBATS to dirt bikes consistently riding through the Noosa Trail Network track 5 – sadly this puts us off taking kids and horses out.

BRICKBATS to the dog owners who do not pick up their dog’s business. I took my groodle down to the park where the skatepark is and we usually go for a bit of a walk down there. To my disgust, there was dog poo everywhere. I could not believe how many dog owners are so lazy that they do not pick up their dog’s business, if I catch anyone doing that I will shame them.

LINDA Sivyer came across this little piece of Cooroy history – a book cover given to school children of the Cooroy District.

Linda said her mother, Betty Sivyer, who was born in Cooroy in 1927, told her that it would be from the early 1930s. Jarman Newsagency is where Belvedere Newsagency is today on Diamond Street, Cooroy.

Read Linda’s farewell to her mother, Betty Sivyer (nee Lettman) on page 8.
