Moeisha debates gender norms and privileges based on the experiences Moeisha has from their life and their involvement with Rigshospitalet as transgender. Being brown, Muslim, and queer means having to walk on eggshells every day and constantly being in between. If you cross one line, you must still defend the other. Amnesty has documented how infants who are born with visible sex characteristic variations, especially of external genitalia and gonads, undergo surgical and hormonal treatment to “normalise” their sex characteristics.
