Our finish is a nitrocellulose lacquer. Lacquers are a popular finish type for furniture, and the preferred choice of professional furniture makers. Lacquers provide a clear, durable, and water-resistant finish that protects the base material while also enhancing its appearance.

Bamboo has a higher tensile strength than metal. This means that if you pull on a piece of bamboo and a piece of metal, it will take more force to break the bamboo.

We’re growing our line of bamboo products to include more easels! These products are a more sustainable choice than metal models because they have a smaller carbon footprint. Bamboo is a renewable resource that grows quickly and sequesters carbon, unlike metal which produces carbon.

Double Sided Bamboo Teaching Easel (BE1/BE1-RCY)

This easel was designed to bring natural elements into the classroom and is ideal for neutral or early year environments. Also available with 100% recycled post-consumer plastic tubs (BE1-RCY).

This easel produces approximately 38% less carbon compared to our metal option.

Single Sided Bamboo Teaching Easel (BE2)

This easel reflects the same aesthetic as our double sided model, but is a lower price point. It has one whiteboard and no middle shelf.

Bamboo Royal® Reading Writing Center (BE005)

This bamboo version of our award-winning Royal® Reading Writing Center has the same unique features to help you teach more efficiently while engaging your students. It combines a chart stand, storage for books and materials, dry erase surfaces and a bookledge for story time.

This easel produces approximately 35% less carbon compared to our steel option.

Bamboo Deluxe Chart Stand (CS701-VM/CS701-S)

This stand can hang both chart paper and pocket charts along with the ability to adjust the height of the whiteboard. This double sided magnetic dry-erase easel is a valuable tool for group and independent activities.

This chart stand produces approximately 26% less carbon compared to our metal option.

Primary Teaching Easel (PTE78)

This Easel is a valuable tool for early childhood and primary teachers to orchestrate and store lessons. With room for two little learners, multiple independent and group lessons are a breeze. This easel has an extra long front dry-erase board.

Early Learning Station (ELS1)

Early Learning Station is perfect for preschool to Grade 1 classes. The station provides teachers with quick set-up and the ability to change lessons when needed. This easel has a double sided whiteboard, one side lined for students to practice their printing and it folds away for easy storage.

Tabletop Easel (TTE100)

Tabletop Easel is the perfect companion for one-on-one instruction and independent work. The pocket chart can be attached to either side of the easel and the folding design makes it easy to pack up and share between classrooms.

A quick & quiet solution

Without interrupting a lesson, students can hop on the bike and quietly burn off energy (or get the wiggles out). In just a ten minute ride, students can become more engaged and ready to learn.

We worked with teachers from our Idea Lab educator advisory team and ergonomic and engineering consultants who design high-end bikes, to develop the Self-regulation Classroom Cruiser. It provides opportunities for students, grades PreK-2, to self-regulate through movement without having to leave or disrupt the class. It is ideal for inclusive environments and helps kinesthetic learners and any student who just needs to get the wiggles out, so they can refocus and engage in learning.

Durable & safe

Our bike exceeds standard testing of 100,000 cycles required for home and commercial use bikes; with over 7 million testing cycles, this bike is built to withstand all the miles you can put on it. It’s fully adjustable to create the safest ergonomics for students. Plus, it’s low maintenance.

Flexible

The Self-regulation Classroom Cruiser can be used within a classroom and moved around as needed or used in body break rooms. It can be adjusted quickly to accommodate different sized students.

Outdoor Acrylic Art Easel (PE4-EXT)

This new painting easel has a durable frame made with 100% recycled plastic lumber that can withstand the elements. The stand-alone construction of the frame means this easel can be conveniently placed wherever needed. It requires no maintenance and is very durable with a long lifecycle because it does not rot or splinter (like some woods) or rust (like metal). The double-sided painting surface is made of ¼” hardened acrylic board and includes a removable paint tray with 6 spill-proof caps to keep the paint fresh for future use. The paint pots are accessible from both sides, allowing for space for two budding artists to create.

Please note: Paint pots should be brought inside after each use.

This frame is made with recycled plastic lumber and the equivalent of 4,427 plastic bags.

Outdoor Mud Kitchen (MK100)

This children’s Outdoor Mud Kitchen is made with recycled plastic lumber that can withstand the elements and can be conveniently placed wherever children play. It requires no maintenance and is very durable with a long lifecycle because it does not rot or splinter (like some woods) or rust (like metal). The sink is made with our Large Open Tub and can be easily removed for cleaning or other play activities.

Why recycled plastic lumber?

Recycled plastic lumber is a sustainable product because it is made using materials that would have otherwise gone to the landfill. It is made of a combination of plastics such as bottle tops, bottles and plastic bags.

This product is with recycled plastic lumber and the equivalent of 5,869 plastic bags.
