JCAAA Program Profile Hampton Dolphins Soccer Gala Day
Each year the Hampton Dolphins and Richmond Eagles Junior Soccer clubs get together for a Gala Day. The purpose of the day is for the participants of both programs to play soccer and meet participants from another all abilities program. The event is alternated between the two clubs each year, and this year’s event was held on Saturday 4 August at Bastow Oval, Kevin Bartlett Reserve, Richmond.
Around 40 participants attended the day. Peter White (Coach) from Richmond Eagles ran the show with various activities that encouraged the participants to learn new skills, mix in with others, and have lots of fun. Then participants played an all inclusive game of soccer.
The event concluded with a BBQ supplied by Richmond Eagles Junior Soccer Club and a photo opportunity with Melbourne Victory goalkeeper Lawrence Thomas who kindly took time out from a busy pre‐season training schedule.
Special thanks to Richmond Eagles Junior Club for running a fantastic day and setting the bar high for Hampton in 2013. 17
