The St. Catherine of Siena Alumni Award of Distinction is given to recognize the significant and exemplary contributions of Siena Alumni in various fields of expertise. The purpose of this award is to inspire Siena students to strive for excellence in their chosen fields of endeavor, to render service to the community and to serve as models of exemplary Christian conduct.

Maria Vicky Perez-Herrera

2016 Awardee

Community, Civic, Social Humanitarian Service

Vicky was honored with this award for her participation in medical missions to the Philippines to provide health care, education, and humanitarian assistance to our underprivileged kababayans .She launched and established Project Warmth in 2012, one of the Philippine Nurses Association of Greater Kansas City outreach service programs. Safehaven is a government housing shelter for survivors of domestic violence and their children, Vicky continues to serve and support this program to this day.

Dolores C. Halili

2018 Awardee

Community, Civic, and Social Humanitarian Services

Dolly was honored with this award for her philanthropic activities in the Philippines and United States for her efforts in creating a better place to live. Dolly believes that as members of a community, we have responsibilities to each other. She acknowledges the powerful influence of family example, a hard-core value that was drummed into her growing up and has continued to guide her through her life.
