MAIN IDEA I use the simplest symbols to present complicated forms and feelings, and simplify everything as much as possible by eliminating fancy decorations. I can fulfill diverse and complicated needs by reusing simple architectural expressions. By utilizing vertical and horizontal construction elements and applying proportion, order, and contrast rules, I create unique construction aesthetics with a design philosophy of minimalism. The ultimate goal of construction is to serve people; and people create constructions that shape our mind. De-construction/Museum

A different specialist store that not only sells related books, periodicals, magazines, and publications but also holds lectures and exhibitions. People who share the same interest can communicate and interact with each other here through their body movements, auditory sense, and eye-contacts. Jazz is a symbol of multiculturalism. You discover the existence of another soul in the chaos, in your own beats, and in the flow of sounds, then you give each other a glance of mutual understanding.

Because of the ever-changing technology, a post office provides more and more diverse services, increasing the number of users every day. Wufeng Post Office is one historic post office, which is being demolished and reconstructed by local government to accustom to modernization and elevate the efficiency of services. The government aims to build a post office that specifically represents Wufeng by combining local features.

Feature local attractions: It’s a conversion of Fragrant Rice Farm into the building’s elevation design, combining the image of Chelungpu Fault as the concept of its section.

60-year-old Taiwanese businessman who constantly travels back and forth between Taiwan and China was deeply touched by the coastline scenery of XianXi Township. As part of his retirement plan, he then planned to build a residence that not only houses four generations of his family but also comes with a bed and breakfast function to share the beautiful scene with everyone.

05 REFORM.SCHOOL Motivation: There are only three reform schools in Taiwan; one is in Taoyuan, another is in Hsinchu, and the other is in Changhua. They all have a serious problem of overcrowding, and with dangerously insufficient counselors and guards, it is very difficult to maintain good management, let alone effective educational outcomes. Also, the old accommodation environment and insufficient surveillance equipment have led to high risks of nightly bullying and sexual assaults, violating the juveniles’ basic human rights. If these criminal teens are discarded by their families, schools, the society, or even the country, they will have no choice but to join mobs and become potential adult criminals in their future, which is the cause of turmoil in a society. It is necessary to ease the current situation of overcrowding by building more reform schools. On the other hand, we also need a place to train teachers and counselors. Only when appropriate environment and human resources are both provided can a reform school to achieve real educational goal. “Investing in these criminal teens are worth it. After a certain level of cultivation, perhaps the original hazardous factors will instead become a boost to our society.” Design description: 1. 2.
