n osephine De La Baume may not be a name you’re too familiar with just yet, but the gorgeous French actress and musician is making big waves in 2011. As well as being the current face of saucy lingerie brand Agent Provocateur, Josephine scored the cover of online store ASOS’s monthly magazine. A well-known actress in her home country, this year Josephine will be appearing in the new “Johnny English” film alongside Rowan Atkinson, as well as the movie adaptation of the bestselling David Nicholls book “One Day”. And all of that alongside her upcoming wedding to super-producer and DJ Mark Ronson. This is a face you’ll be seeing a lot of very soon. ♥

here’s no shortage of “it girls” radiating from London: the tabloid-baiting Geldof sisters, 90s grunge throwback Alice Dellal and geek-chic icon Alexa Chung. But 2011 so far belongs to Daisy Lowe, the 22-year old model, designer, DJ (and ocassional actress).
status, which escalated even further when she began a relationship with celebrity music producer Mark Ronson at age 19 (while he was a significantly older 32). While all this may make Daisy sound like the typical cliché celebrity hanger-on, the career she’s carving out for herself is worthy of praise in itself.
Unlike her counterparts, there’s a certain down-to-earth relatability to Daisy. Despite being cast in fashions shows for houses such as Chanel, Anna Sui and Vivienne Westwood, Daisy has a healthier body than the typical fashion model. 5 11” with shapely hips, she’s reminiscent of the early 90s supermodels like Cindy Crawford. and her wide-eyed heavy-fringe look harks back to 60s icon Penelope Tree.
Much of Daisy’s success lies in the fact she’s appealing to both male and female audiences. Men can appreciate her curves and willingness to show them off. Within the space of a year she appeared on the cover of two of the UK’s biggest men’s magazines: Esquire and GQ. Daisy’s brought the sex appeal in both lingerie shoots for advertisers, and even nude shoots for style bibles like i-D (on which she’s scored three covers already) and Vogue Italia.
Born to brit-pop singer turned fashion designer Pearl Lowe, Daisy was launched into the spotlight at age 18, when she discovered that her biological father was Gavin Rossdale (aka hunky Bush frontman and Mr. Gwen Stefani).

Women on the other hand idolise Daisy for her seemingly effortless and unique sense of style. She’s described her fashion sense a little bit rock and roll and a little bit princessy, and is never afraid to take risks with her clothes. Vogue.com made her style icon status official by documenting every outfit she wore for a month (among them were baby-doll dresses, Louis Vuitton

>> bikinis and a Wonder Woman costume). Girls also relate to her “girl next door” looks, her body which is shapely and enviable without being completely unatainable. And unlike her pouty serious peers (yes, that means you Peaches), Daisy always has a huge goofy smile on her face, turning her into a little ball of sunshine on any red carpet. Coming up in 2011, Daisy’s first swimwear line for high street retailers Peaocks hits the stores, she makes her film debut in “Sweat” alongside Harry Potter star Bonnie Wright and she has several campaigns lined up including one for Stephen Webster jewellery, replacing it’s current spokeswoman Christina Aguilera. That milestone every model strivess for, her own Vogue cover, can’t be all that long away. ♥
Daisy’s Best Looks
This Dolce & Gabanna dress works to accentuate Daisy’s curves without coming off as too provocative. The black accessories and curled hair give the whole look a very glamorous feel.
Daisy wore this unusual Miu Miu look to the Elle Style Awards, proving again she can rock outfits that none of her contemporaries would even dare try. Sexy yet cute!
Front row at a Louis Vuitton show in Paris, Daisy was cute and girly in this pastelcoloured t-shirt and skirt combo. Stylish and sweet without trying too hard to look sophisticated.
An edgier look at a Christopher Kane runway show this year, Daisy wore her favourite Alexander McQueen leather jacket over a Mark Fast Dress and Christopher Kane chain top.

he world of online social networking is a fickle one, as soon as one website reaches it’s dizzy heights, another new idea comes along to steal it’s thunder. The fun but tacky Myspace was first, trumped by Facebook’s more simple and detailed site. The current king of the internet would be Twitter, the phenomena in which people share their thoughts in 140 characters. The newest kid on the block is blogging website Tumblr. Founded in 2007 by David Karp, the website thrives on it’s simplicity, and is capable of posting images, videos, audio clips, texts and links, even if the user is completely unfamiliar with the wonder of the personal blog. Users work from a “dashboard”, from which they can see the posts of other users, which they can follow. With just a few clicks, they can upload their content and tag it with certain labels to make it searchable to other Tumblr users. Type in “Lady Gaga” for instance and you’ll find thousands of graphics, photos and videos of pop’s first lady. Search “LOL” and you’ll discover what’s making bloggers laugh.
The site is gaining in popularity every day. Currently it’s home to over 16.5 million blogs. Celebrity “tumblers” include John Mayer and Britney Spears, and the site is also known for♥ it’s “f*ckyeah” tumblrs, blogs dedicated purely to a particular subject. To show your appreciation of a post, a user can either “like” it, in a way that’s similar to Facebook, or “reblog” it to their own site, passing on the post to their own followers. And so it goes on! The easily customizable blogs are also popular with graphic designers (some of whom charge up to £40 for their creations!) Check out a few of Copy’s favourite tumblr blogs over the page! ♥

formariza is one of the best fashion blogs out there and surprisingly its creator is a 20-year-old Fashion Styling student from Instituto Marangoni. Copy tracked her down to get to know her a little better and this is what she told us:
dress up is so inspirational. Moreover, fashiontoast could be added on my top list. That girl really knows how to pose, dress and make you want to go shopping straight away! Last but not least, I love the knightcat blog because it has a good selection of editorials and fashion images, including some street style celebrity shots.”
Her style in a few words:
Why she started her blog:
“Describing someone’s style can be hard. I like things that are simple, smart and casual and I love taking a little bit of this and that and mixing it together. I usually live in jeans and t-shirts but always make sure to wear lots of accessories. My current obsession is rings and hats. I really think that clothes don’t have to be expensive to look hot so you could find me shopping in all kinds of shops… Well, having said that, I have to admit I have a soft spot for expensive bags and shoes, but then again who doesn’t?”
“What made me start a blog myself, was the need to share my ideas and passion with the rest of the world and well, I now get so many emails and comments which shows me that people find inspiration in what I do and that’s all that matters.”
“My favourite designers are Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander Wang, Azzedine Alaia , Helmunt Lang and Phillip Lim.”
“What I’m looking forward to? I am definitely looking forward to graduating and finally moving to the States for my masters! Plus, I am so excited about getting to work in the American fashion industry soon. I would love to work as a stylist or a designer, maybe even as a photographer? I am constantly changing my mind but in reality I’d love to do all of the above! No matter what, I will make sure to keep you updated through my blog.”
Favourite blogs:
Advice to all fashion-lovers:
“I really like the concept of the Jak and Jil blog, mostly because I find the way he crops the images and the attention he pays to the details so interesting and unique. Olsenanonymous could also be considered as one of my favourite blogs as I am a big fan of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s sense of style; the way they

Jennifer Lopez: Love?
3/5
All of You was definitely worth the wait, since it undoubtedly is Caillat’s best work yet. As the singer said, the album consists of songs that are mostly focusing on real life experiences of hers, so it therefore has a more personal and grown-up, feeling to it. Caillat’s trademark Californian sound is back at last and it already has us daydreaming of summer love. ♥
Love? is Jennifer Lopez’ 7th studio album that was mostly recorded during her pregnancy in 2008 and was therefore named after her love for her –thenunborn twins. Mixing R&B, Pop and Hip Hop in the best possible way, Love? gets you dancing in no time. In case you don’t want to take our word for it, check out the album’s 2nd single (What is) Love?.
Moby: Destroyed

Lady Gaga: Born This Way
23/5
Even though Moby describes his latest album as ‘broken down melodic, electronic music, for empty cities at 2am’, we think otherwise. Not only his music is as great as it has always been, but this time it is accompanied by a book, which is full of pictures that the artist took himself, while on tour. This time, Moby actually allows you to see what lies behind his music. ♥
We are glad to inform you that the wait is finally over. Lady Gaga, is about to get you hooked with her 3rd studio Album, Born This Way, in no time; after all, she meant it when she said that it is as addictive as heroine. Being a mix of electronic sounds, theatrical vocals and provocative lyrics, her latest work is surely more than we expected and we expected a lot. ♥
Vassilikos is a Greek musician that started his career as the leading singer, composer and lyricist of Raining Pleasure -Greece’s biggest Indie Band yet-. He and his band have had a great success during the past 20 years, with songs that would always climb to the top of Greece’s music charts. However, the members of the band decided to part ways after 20 years of collaborating, which led to the release of Vassilikos’ first solo album, that goes by the name Vintage (Songs I wish I’d Written Vol.1). His first work as a solo artist is a compilation of old classic songs such as You are My Destiny and If You Go Away, which have been successfully modified, to give the impression that they were actually written today. The truth is, we really can’t wait for Vassilikos’ second album!

TINA FEY “bossy pants” We all know Tina Fey and well, we all know what to expect from her first publication. You see, even though Bossypants is an autobiography, it still is a book written by one of the most talented comedians of our generation. Fay managed to narrate the story of her life in an incredibly hilarious way, which is guaranteed to make you laugh hysterically no matter where you are or what your mood is. ♥
wayne pacelle “the bond” The Bond is definitely one of the most beautiful books we have come across lately. In a time where most people treat animals in the worst ways (animal abuse, animal testing, careless contribution to activities that lead to extinction of certain species), The Bond attempts to remind us that respecting as well as protecting animals is not only the right thing to do, but also the only way to survive. ♥

Book of the Month:
The Schopenhauer Cure The Schopenhauer Cure is one of the many masterpieces of the famous psychotherapist, Irvin D. Yalom and it’s exactly what you are looking for, in case you ‘re interested in either psychology or philosophy. In a few words, this is the story of Julius, a psychotherapist who changed his entire worldview and specifically the ways in which he perceived life and death, after he was diagnosed with cancer. The book follows the last year of his life and focuses on the way in which his group therapy patients helped him –each in their own way- find peace of mind, while at the same time, he helped them find themselves. ♥

The quartet soon gives in to ‘exotic’ drinking and gets in the kind of trouble that makes their Vegas trip look like a children’s party.
Malik (O. Epps), Kristen (K. Swanson) and Remy (M. Rapaport), are three of the many freshmen at Columbus University, who begin their studies full of enthusiasm and hope. However, Malik soon realises that he is being treated differently because of his colour, while Kristen gets raped by a drunken frat boy and Remy becomes a member of a skinhead gang in an attempt to escape being bullied. In the blink of an eye, their initial excitement is replaced by anger, hate and desperation. Racism, sexism and physical as well as mental abuse, force all three of them to fight for their rights, but not all of them are strong enough to make it until the end.
