Le bois en hauteur à Lausanne
Densification du quartier de Sévelin par la construction de logememts collectifs en bois
Si des constructions en bois émergent régulièrement dans les villes en Suisse, c’est principalement grâce aux propriétés écologiques de ce matériau local redécouvert à la suite de l’industrialisation de sa préfabrication. Situé dans le quartier lausannois de Sévelin, actuellement en pleine mutation, ce travail met aussi en valeur d’autres avantages à l’utilisation du bois dans les logements. La présence du bois se justifie particulièrement dans cet ancien quartier artisanal et industriel, dont les façades hétérogènes reflètent la diversité des matériaux de construction utilisés. Le site de Sévelin est construit selon une trame de rues orthogonales dans laquelle s’inscrit le projet. Ce dernier occupe une parcelle profonde de vingt-sept mètres, à laquelle les logements traversants doivent être adaptés. La trame du projet se compose de porteurs linéaires parallèles repris par des panneaux en bois contrecollé. Ces derniers, en retrait desquels est posée une façade rideau en verre, ressortent en façade et y soulignent ainsi la trame structurelle du plan des logements. À l’aide d’une construction sèche, préfabriquée et idéalement réutilisable, le bois structurel peut rester visible à l’intérieur sans que l’ajout d’une épaisseur de revêtement ne soit nécessaire. Le bois est alors utilisé comme structure et comme finition esthétique, ce qui permet de réduire le nombre de matériaux de construction requis et le temps de chantier, tout en laissant perceptible le bois et sa mise en œuvre. prof. pédagogique Yves Weinand, prof. d’énoncé Bruno Marchand, Alexandre Aviolat Projet de Master, 2018

Suisse - Campus - Utopie : les trois thèmes de Superstudio. Choisissant de travailler sur le campus de l’EPFL et le projet d’un Centre pour étudiants, le travail se base sur la théorie de «Vivre ensemble» de Roland Barthes. Pour réorganiser le campus autour de la vie estudiantine et créer un lien entre l’esplanade de l’EPFL et celle de l’UNIL, la colonne vertébrale originelle du campus est réorganisée en gardant la structure et la linéarité de l’espace. Elle se voit distribuer les différents programmes du Centre pour étudiants ainsi que l’accès aux différentes branches, qui abritent les espaces d’études les plus privés. Plutôt que miser sur les cours traditionnels, ce campus du futur privilégie les espaces d’échanges suivant les MOOCS, pratique de plus en plus fréquente qui favorise les interractions entre universités. Plateau de Valensole, France Situé entre les Alpes et la mer Méditerranée, le plateau de Valensole rassemble plusieurs villages d’agriculteurs dans cette région de Provence qui produit plus de la moitié de la lavende consommée dans le monde. Ce projet rassemble les récoltes et offre aux travailleurs saisonniers sur le Plateau des logements, pour les rassembler autour de leur travail. En centralisant la distillation de la lavande, le projet devient le phare du Plateau et en marque l’entrée dans le paysage. Extension du Musée Romain de Vallon, Suisse Même si le musée romain de Vallon, près d’Avenches, renferme des mosaïques romaines retrouvées dans un état exceptionnel, le bâtiment qui le compose doit se moderniser afin d’accueillir davantage d’objets archéologiques de toutes tailles, dans le but de retrouver de l’attrait aux yeux du public. Ce travail propose une extension du musée existant, en conservant le langage déjà adopté par le projet initial mais en reprenant aussi des matériaux et espaces associés à la civilisation romaine, dont une villa se trouvait à l’emplacement même du musée actuel.

Ecole Taxeira de Pascoais, Lisbonne, Portugal Construite en 1954 par Ruy d’Athoughia, l’école primaire à rénover est à l’époque séparée en deux parties, une pour les filles et l’autre pour les garçons. En regard des besoins actuels, le projet a pour but de rassembler ces deux parties en introduisant une salle de gymnastique polyvalente. Située dans un quartier populaire de Lisbonne, une attention particulière est accordée à son environnement hérétogène déjà construit autour d’elle. L’idée est ici de continuer la circulation linéaire introduite par d’Athoughia dans son école en ajoutant les nouveaux programmes à la fin du système.

Presbytère d’Avully, Suisse Un presbytère hétérogène qui date du XVIIIe siècle est rénové dans la campagne genevoise. Les dessins effectués sont destinés à la mise à l’enquête. Des détails sont dessinés à la base de relevés pour aider à établir le devis général. Le maître de l’ouvrage, soit la commune elle-même, souhaite construire huit logements dans ce bâtiment qui en rassemble trois, datant de différentes époques. Le projet intègre ces logements dans un bâti hétérogène en conservant au mieux les composants historiques de valeur présents, tout en les adaptant aux normes actuelles.

Rénovation du centre commercial Métropole 2000, au coeur de Lausanne, en un immeuble de bureaux pour une compagnie de communications. Il contiendra des bureaux, un auditoire, des salles de conférences et une cafétéria. Les entrées se trouvent à deux niveaux: la Rue des Terreaux, au niveau 2, et la Route de Genève, au niveau 0. Les dalles de béton décalées créent des espaces de hauteurs différentes à chaque étage, suivant leur usage, autour d’un patio central.
