North Bay A GUIDE TO

live who you are

North Bay

From Bridge to Vine we have you covered. Within close proximity to San Francisco, the Northern Bay Area region spans from the Pacifc Ocean to some of the most renowned wine regions in the world. There is somewhere special for everyone in this paradise we call home.

Marin offers beaches, the bay, mountains, open space, urban areas, great schools, restaurants, and a focus on health, wellness, and safety.

Sonoma County is unique — Wine Country and Farm Country with redwood forests, rivers, lakes and a Pacifc Coastline that can take your breath away.

Come to Napa Valley for the wine, but notice something else: Napa Valley is fast becoming as much about food, theater, music, spas, art and community as it is the wines.

Because we live, work, and play here, we can provide you with truly local knowledge. With our fnger on the pulse of each community, we are experts not only in each individual real estate market but also in the lifestyle it offers. From the schools, farmers’ markets, restaurants, to hiking trails, come explore with us.

MARIN COUNTY

Unique in that the county comprises 12 cities (and a number of West Marin “townships”), all with their own special character, quality of life, and aesthetic. What makes it more interesting is that, unlike most counties or regions with cities in which you live and work most exclusively, in Marin, you cross over cities to meet the general activities of daily life. You don’t think a thing about having your home in Mill Valley, your gym in Corte Madera, your hairdresser in San Rafael, the kids’ swim team in Tiburon, and your “go-to” sushi restaurant in Sausalito.

The European feel of Sausalito’s hillside homes overlooking the bay; the hip vibe of downtown Mill Valley flled with people enjoying the Plaza; the Tiburon Peninsula with the ability to follow the waterfront all the way into town. Larkspur and Corte Madera, “The Twin Cities,” with shopping and restaurant options around, not to mention the charming downtown. “Ross Valley,” which includes Ross, San Anselmo, and Fairfax, offers open space, Phoenix Lake, the Seminary, real main streets, and a melding of cultures as you head into Fairfax. Nicasio and San Geronimo Valley offer horse country and wide-open spaces. Pt. Reyes and Inverness are great towns with a real western favor that has been gently redeveloped with shops, galleries, and restaurants. Stinson Beach is a classic beach town. And fnally, Bolinas – considered an oasis with famous authors, musicians, politicians, and celebrities living among surfers, fshermen, farmers, horses, and dogs.

There’s something for everyone in Marin.

SONOMA COUNTY

With vibrant towns and cities scattered among its million acres, it has been said that visiting Sonoma County is like a trip back in time, with casual culture yet world-class wine and dining. All you need is a willingness to explore, whether it’s a morning at a local farmer’s market, a hike along the coast, cork hopping some of the best wineries, or trying out the places “locals” fock to for great eats.

What was once a very rural area driven almost entirely by agricultural trade today has diversifed into a blend of many economic opportunities from tourism to high tech without losing its rural roots. A fve- to ten-minute drive from just about anywhere in the county will put you in some of the most beautiful countryside you will ever come across. Vineyards, open pastures, mountains, streams, rivers, and a Pacifc Ocean coastline that can take your breath away are just a few of the many sites you can see.

With a vibrant arts and entertainment menu to choose from on any given weekend, you can always fnd a venue that offers a fun time no matter your age. If the outdoors is where you want to be, you will have plenty to do with thousands of acres of parks and recreation which offer hiking, horseback riding, biking, swimming, boating, or just an old-fashioned family picnic at one of many parks or wineries. To be a thriving community, you need a solid education system for everyone. Sonoma County boasts some of the most acclaimed schools and colleges in the San Francisco Bay Area in both the public and private sectors.

NAPA COUNTY

When most people think about the Napa Valley, they often think of the rich history and romance of the world-acclaimed wine region. They call Napa Valley “Disneyland for Adults”... but for those who work, play, and live in Napa Valley, they think about not only our famous wines but all of the many attributes that make up one of the most beautiful areas in the world.

The communities of the Valley comprise Napa, Yountville, Rutherford, St. Helena, Angwin, and Calistoga, with American Canyon being its most southern community with easy access to the Vallejo Ferry and Hwy 80. From famous hot springs and the “Old Faithful Geyser” to the ridge tops of Robert Louis Stevenson Park, you can enjoy hiking, biking, boating, golfng, and horseback riding, and just about any outdoor recreation you can imagine. For all of these reasons, along with some of the best food and lodging you will fnd anywhere, the Napa Valley is one of the top destinations in the world.

With a growing economy and focus on the redevelopment of downtown areas, Napa is poised for stardom, but it is also a place to call “home.” The population in Napa is varied, much like the activities and sights available. From those with high profles and famous to growing family next door, you never know who might show up to take advantage of the theater, a musical event, or just an old-fashioned family barbecue. There aren’t many places that can offer a small-town environment with the features and benefts of a major metropolitan area, but somehow the Valley has seemed to have found a way. The people are really what make Napa Valley such a special place to live—the other things are just the icing on the cake!
