HOW DID YOU BECOME EMPLOYED AT THE CLUBS OF CORDILLERA RANCH?
I moved back to the area and wanted to work again with clients (members) and horses, and reached out to the Cordillera Ranch Equestrian Center.
WHAT PAST WORK HISTORY PREPARED YOU FOR THE CLUBS?
I was a large animal Vet assistant and managed other equine facilities.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT WORKING AT CORDILLERA RANCH?
My favorite part of my job is being able to do what I love and that is working with horses and cattle.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST REWARDING PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE?
Helping people reach their goals with their horses and understanding their horse’s language.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR GREATEST PROFESSIONAL CHALLENGE?
Making sure every ride ends on a positive action. And understanding that you can’t please everyone.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO PURSUE WORK IN THIS FIELD?
It is a lifelong passion and even though I got a degree in something different, the equine industry calls me back.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN THREE WORDS? Integrity, adventurous, conscientious
WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?
I like to try new restaurants, breweries or wineries and watch my boys play baseball and basketball.
WHAT IS YOUR SECRET TO HAPPINESS?
Pick and choose your battles and always end on a positive thing.
WHO WOULD YOUR IDEAL GUESTS AT A DINNER PARTY BE? Michael Matz, Buster Welch, Beezie Madden, Boots O’Neal and Tad Lucas — overall, I would love to have a table of equestrians of today and the past to get advice, guidance and knowledge.
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO SUCCEED?
I love to continue to educate myself in the equine industry whether its animal science, equine medical practices or new training techniques. I feel you can never know it all because it is always changing and growing.
WHICH SUPER POWER WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE? Shapeshifting
AS A CHILD, WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GREW UP? An Olympic Rider
IF YOU HAD TO LIVE IN A DIFFERENT STATE, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
I wouldn’t change the state, just the area. I would like to be closer to the Fort Worth area to be able to ride and show more in the National Cutting Horse Association.
WHAT WAS YOUR MOST RECENT ADVENTURE?
I went out for the weekend to Tres Molinos Ranch and Resort in Harper, TX for ranch sorting lessons with Patrick Moellendorf. The accommodations and food were wonderful, and I learned a lot.

Horses — they are my happy place.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEAL?
I couldn’t just pick one but my favorite dessert is crepes with Nutella and bananas.
