ADJECTIVES. They are words that describe nouns, verbs or other adjectives. In English we divide adjectives in degrees: 1- Positive, when they are used without any change. good, tall, elegant, dangerous. Sample: Yesterday was a good day. This a dangerous road.

2- Comparative degree: If the adjective has less than two syllables we add ER, to the root; we place MORE before it if has more than two syllables. Remember add the expression THAN when comparing

Samples: San Miguel is a hot city. ( Positive) San Miguel is hotter than San Salvador. ( comparative)

3- Superlative degree: To form the superlative degree, just add, EST, when the adjective has less than two syllables, or syllable.

The Devil's door is more dangerous than the Balboa Park. ( Comparative) The Devil's door is the most dangerous park.

Less than two syllables.( ER; EST) The Acelguate river is dirty. (positive) The Acelguate River is dirtier than the Lempa River. (Comparative) The Acelguate River is the dirtiest river of all. ( superlative ) Especial cases: These adjective don't follow the rules. positive
