WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT Our Team

Sharlene Cross Sharlene has been working for COREcruitment for over two years now and covers all Head Office recruitment. This includes but is not limited to Marketing, Finance, HR, IT, Supply Chain and Procurement. Sharlene is our office Kiwi, who moved to London almost 4 years ago. Sharlene graduated from the University of Otago with BCom Management and Marketing. From there she went on to work in Sales & Marketing and Accounting & Finance. When Sharlene arrived in London she worked for Reed IT, recruiting in all levels within the IT industry before joining the CORE team.

Janice Hardy Janice has worked and studied internationally, completing her degree in Las Vegas, she excelled in her state-side hospitality studies, specifically in the area of finance. During her time in America, Janice had extensive experience of dealing with challenging clients in a high profile guest relations role. Upon her return to London she completed one of the industry’s finest management development programs with an up market wine merchant. She focuses mostly on management opportunities within the service sector.

Krishnan Doyle Krishnan has over 10 year’s market experience, focussing extensively in Europe, the Middle East and South America. Coupled with his operational background, Krishnan has also studied in Hospitality, Tourism and Facility Management in Spain and Holland, achieving a joint honours degree from one of Europe’s top Business Schools. Most recently Krishnan has also achieved qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Personal Development (CIPD), the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and an Advanced Diploma in Professional Development & Organisational Culture from a prominent London University.

Suj Premachandran Suj is a highly motivated and driven recruiter with an excellent track record in placing staff in a variety of fields. Suj studied in the University of the Arts and London Southbank University with qualification in creative advertising and business studies. Suj Joined COREcruitment in 2011 from an extensive background ranging from recruitment, health and fitness and retail. He now specializes in sourcing and recruitment of FM, Maintenance and Engineering Specialists.

Gemma Eames Gemma joined COREcruitment in July 2013, having previously worked as a Recruitment Manager at a charity agency. Gemma provides a range of facility management services to help our clients find the support they need. Gemma spends time getting to know her client’s business intimately and gain a deep understanding of their needs. Gemma is currently working with a range of clients in the UK and internationally.

Another one of our popular methods of attracting candidates is organising an open day. Essentially open days are an opportunity for potential members of staff to visit your business at one of your locations, interact with your members of staff to further our understanding of your business.

We also have the ability to use our in house system of psychometric testing. We have found this especially useful as part of the recruitment process to double check that a candidate has the appropriate ability levels to be successful in a role.

Candidate Attraction Referrals

Our network Each consultant at COREcruitment has a niche area that they work in, and within this niche area they are part of many different network groups. Consultants use these network groups to their advantage. As we’ve mentioned, referrals are a big part of our candidate attraction and good people know good people. Consultants make a conscious effort to attend any relevant networking events, so when we say they know the industry inside outthey really do!

Psychometrics

Working within these niche areas also means consultants are constantly working on similar roles. Therefore, consultants know as soon as they receive a vacancy who is available, who would be suitable and who may have a referral. Some of our top candidates are known as ‘passive candidates’ which means they are not actively looking but we always keep an eye out for them and contact them if any suitable roles come up.

We have a target at COREcruitment that 40% of our placed candidates will come via referrals and recommendations – good people tend to know good people. We actively incentivise candidates to put us in touch with their friends / colleagues and contacts to find a higher number of ‘passive job seekers’.
