Pearl River Community College’s Main Campus in Poplarville houses exciting academic and career and technical educational pathways that create competitive career opportunities post graduation. The campus has 10 residence halls as well as a vibrant student life. State-ofthe-art facilities like the Ethel Holden Brownstone Center for the Arts and the Marvin R. White Coliseum allow for students to explore their talents in a variety of ways. The Forrest County Campus in Hattiesburg offers strong academic and career and technical programs including numerous competitive allied health degree options. Pearl River’s partnerships with industry leaders generate compelling opportunities for internships and beneficial professional relationships. The Hancock Campus in Waveland is just minutes from the beach in beautiful Coastal Mississippi. The campus offers academic and career and technical degree options including Practical Nursing, Unmanned Aerial Systems Technology and Welding and Cutting Technology. Whether a student plans to enter the workforce or continue their education at a four year institution, Pearl River has a pathway to make those goals a reality. Modern computer labs support flexible class scheduling allowing students to fit educational goals into a busy life. Diverse organizations and activities also give students the opportunity to stay engaged in and out of the classroom.

Lowery A. Woodall Advanced Technology Center is a two-story, 35,000-square foot training facility located in the Forrest County Industrial Park. It is designed to meet the workplace demands of the regional population as well as to fulfill anticipated needs of the area’s business community. The center hosts a series of specialized classrooms and computer labs as well as an auditorium and dining room area. The Woodall Center serves as the hub for adult and workforce education for Pearl River Community College. On a given day, more than 80 adults attend adult and/or workforce education classes at this facility to gain skills for them to excel within their chosen career path.

FILM AND VIDEO TECHNOLOGY
ACCOUNTING TECHNOLOGY
This program prepares students to work on feature film and television, television commercials, music videos, documentary films, Internet multimedia to OURFILand other audiovisual media forms. The Film and Video Technology program offers a Career certificate, Technical certificate and/or an Associate of Applied Science Degree.
Accounting Technology is a technical program designed to prepare students for entry-level accounting positions in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and inventory, as well as enhance the skills of persons currently employed in accounting who wish to advance.
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY Business Management Technology is a 2-year program of study that is designed to prepare students for management positions in administration, advertising, industrial production, transportation storage and distribution, schools, food service, human resources, retail, hospitality, and other management organizations.
MARKETING AND MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY The Business and Marketing Management Technology program covers the creative and strategic side of managing a business. It’s ideal for those interested in marketing, but wanting to retain a general management focus.
MEDICAL BILLING AND CODING This is a two-year program of study that is designed to prepare students for office positions in hospitals, doctor’s offices, health clinics, insurance companies, nursing homes, and other health-related organizations.

HEALTH SCIENCES & NURSING ASSOCIATE DEGREE REGISTERED NURSING
MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY
The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program at PRCC is designed to prepare graduates for a challenging and satisfying career as a registered nurse (RN). The ADN program begins each fall and spring semester on the Poplarville campus.
The Medical Laboratory Technology curriculum is a 2-year Associate of Applied Science degree program of study that prepares individuals to work in a medical laboratory. As members of the health-care delivery team, clinical laboratory personnel are responsible for assuring reliable and accurate laboratory test results that contribute to the diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and prevention of physiological and pathological conditions.
DENTAL ASSISTING TECHNOLOGY The dental assistant prepares patients for treatment, assists the dentist chair-side by arranging instruments and materials and handling them during procedures, works in the laboratory and performs clerical duties as an office manager and receptionist.
DENTAL HYGIENE TECHNOLOGY The dental hygienist, working under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist, provides oral health care to patients by scaling and polishing teeth, takes and processes dental x-rays, applies caries preventive agents (fluoride and sealants) and provides advice and instruction concerning oral hygiene.
MEDICAL RADIOLOGICAL TECHNOLOGY This program prepares radiographers to record images of human anatomy. Specialty areas of access for registered technologists are CT, MRI, special procedures, mammography, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, surgery radiography, administration, and education.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT TECHNOLOGY Occupational Therapy Assistants are health professionals who assist individuals in overcoming challenges in performing tasks of daily living. These challenges may include physical, psychological, developmental or social conditions.
PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSITANT TECHNOLOGY The physical therapist assistant, under the supervision of the physical therapist, works with patients of all ages with a wide spectrum of neurological, musculoskeletal, and cardiopulmonary problems resulting from illness and

HEALTH SCIENCES & NURSING PRACTICAL NURSING The Practical Nursing program prepares the individual to assist in providing general nursing care requiring basic knowledge of the natural and social sciences; and of nursing procedures which do require the substantial skills, judgment and knowledge required of a registered nurse.
RESPIRATORY CARE TECHNOLOGY Respiratory Care Practitioners are allied health professionals employed in the treatment, management, control, and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the respiratory system. They serve as a consultant to the physician in the treatment and management of cardio-pulmonary abnormalities and work with nurses in coordinating and implementing an overall patient care strategy.
SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY Surgical Technology is an instructional program that prepares an individual to serve as a member of the surgical team to work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, certified registered nurse anesthetists, registered nurses, physician’s assistants and other surgical personnel in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibilities before, during, and after surgery.

HOSPITALITY & HUMAN SERVICES BARBERING The Barbering program prepares individuals to cut, color, perm, shampoo, and style hair. Students are also instructed on the proper techniques in facial massaging and shaving.
BARBERING INSTRUCTOR TRAINING The Barbering Instructor Training course is a special course designed to prepare an individual to become a Barbering instructor.
COSMETOLOGY The Cosmetology program prepares individuals to care for hair, nails and skin with emphasis on hygiene, sanitation, customer relations, and salon management.
COSMETOLOGY INSTRUCTOR TRAINING The Cosmetology Teacher Training program is a special program designed to prepare an individual to become a Cosmetology instructor.
EDUCATION EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION The Early Childhood Education Technology provides preparation for a professional career in the discipline of Early Childhood Education spanning a variety of career options.

AGRICULTURE, CONSTRUCTION, MANUFACTURING, & TRANSPORTATION AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC TECHNOLOGY The Automotive Mechanics Technology program prepares individuals to engage in the servicing and maintenance of all types of automobiles. Instruction includes the diagnosis of malfunctions and repair of engines, fuel, electrical, cooling, brake, drive train, and suspension systems.
The Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology program prepares individuals to work installing, maintaining, and operating small or medium air conditioning, heating and refrigeration systems.
COMMERCIAL TRUCK DRIVING TECHNOLOGY
INSTRUMENTATION TECHNOLOGY
The Commercial Truck Driving Program prepares individuals to drive trucks and other commercial vehicles.
This program focuses on preparing students to understand, calibrate, and install industrial instrumentation, to align and tune controllers and adjust valves.
CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT TECHNOLOGY This program offers learning experiences in blueprint reading, estimating, construction materials, building, installing, and repairing structural units.
DRAFTING AND DESIGN TECHNOLOGY This program is designed to provide specialized occupational instruction in all phases of drafting and design. Students will obtain skills and knowledge related to several fields of the drafting and design industry.
ELECTRICAL TECHNOLOGY The Electrical Technology program prepares individuals to install, operate, maintain, and repair electrically-energized systems such as residential, commercial, and industrial electric wiring, and DC; AC motors, controls, and electrical distribution panels.
ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY Electronics Technology prepares individuals to support electrical engineers and other professionals in the design, development, and testing of electrical circuits, devices and systems.

PRECISION MANUFACTURING AND MACHINING TECHNOLOGY The Precision Manufacturing and Machining Technology program prepares individuals to shape metal parts on machines such as lathes, grinders, drill presses, and milling machines.
UTILITY LINEMAN TECHNOLOGY The Utility Line worker Technology curriculum is designed to prepare the student for entry-level employment in the field of utility power transmission and distribution construction, troubleshooting, and repair.
WELDING TECHNOLOGY The Welding Technology program is designed to prepare the student for entry level employment in the field of welding and cutting.
SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, & MATHEMATICS BIOMEDICAL EQUIPMENT REPAIR TECHNOLOGY Biomedical Equipment Repair Technology is an instructional and field service program that provides students with technical knowledge and skills necessary for gaining employment as a Biomedical Equipment Technician.
COMPUTER NETWORKING TECHNOLOGY Computer Network Support Technology is a two-year program which offers training in telecommunications, network administration, and client; server systems.
INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY This 2-year program is designed to prepare students for a wide range of technical positions within the industrial manufacturing industry. The Industrial Electronics program is designed to prepare graduates for a career in the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of industrial electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
UNMANNED AERIAL SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY Unmanned Aerial Systems Technology prepares students for employment as unmanned aerial vehicle operators and coordinators.

taying active on campus is easy at Pearl River as the Student Government Association is busy throughout the year organizing fun and impactful events. Combining efforts with the Student Activities Office, there are weekly opportunities for students to get involved. From scavenger hunts, water balloon battles and game nights to campus clean up service projects and confidence building seminars, there are always unique and fun ways to stay engaged. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes also supports student athletes throughout the semester with events and weekly meetings.

he Dr. William Lewis Honors Institute offers students the chance to delve even deeper into their studies and learn valuable skills that will take them confidently on to the university level or into the workforce.
A variety of clubs also offer students ways to make connections with others. For example, the Travel Club and Video Game Club on the Forrest County Campus bring people together to enjoy exciting activities outside of the classroom.

ATHLETICS
P
earl River offers a wide variety of athletic offerings set at some of the state’s premier facilities. The Wildcat football team has historically been one of Mississippi’s elite programs. In recent years, Dobie Holden Stadium has seen some major upgrades as well with a new turf field and eye-catching videoboard.
On the hardwood, the men’s and women’s basketball programs call Marvin R. White Coliseum home. The Wildcats often boast capacity crowds in the state-of-the-art venue.PRCC’s soccer programs are always among the top in the state. In the last couple of years, PRCC debuted a new fieldhouse and scoreboard for the Wildcats. Pearl River’s diamond sports are also topnotch. The baseball program has rapidly built Dub Herring Park into one of the true gems in Mississippi. The softball team also recently added a new hitting facility and fieldhouse and is constantly upgrading Wildcat Stadium. PRCC was a trailblazer in 2019. Noticing rising participation numbers at the prep and youth levels throughout the Magnolia State, Pearl River became the first Mississippi community college to debut a volleyball program. Pearl River is also one of three schools in the state to compete in rodeo; in 2020, PRCC built an on-campus barn and practice facility for the program.

earl River boasts strong fine arts programs including groups such as The Spirit of The River Marching Band, PRCC Jazz Cats, The Voices and more. The state-of-the-art Ethel Holden Brownstone Center for the Arts allows students to perform for large crowds. It also provides PRCC the opportunity to host outside groups for students and the community to enjoy. The Fine Arts Department is constantly innovating and finding new ways to share talents of students. PRCC’s acapella group, The Voices, were proud to have recently released their first music video.
