As I look forward to a festive season filled with the familiar delights of twinkling lights and turkey, crackers and carols, parties and presents, I also get excited about the bottles I will share with my nearest and dearest. Although I try to plan, it’s essential to have a couple of bottles on standby for the inevitable impromptu drink or two, and our Corney & Barrow own label wines are perfect for the job. There is a wine for every occasion, be it one of our wonderful reds to enjoy on a crisp evening, or my particular favourite: the Corney & Barrow Sauternes 2017. Our Sauternes is the perfect treat at the end of a meal – I can see my friends faces light up as I sneak a cheeky halfbottle out of the fridge!

PUDDING Showstoppers for your desserts! Sadly, these days dessert wines tend to be a bit of an afterthought or worse still, ignored completely. This is a shame at any time of the year, but at Christmas it becomes a tragedy!
