Director’s Now in our fourth year, I am extremely proud of what we have been able to achieve at FINEPRINT co in such a short period of time. Born from the idea of making great art accessible and affordable, FINEPRINT co has evolved to represent something much more significant than this as we continue to challenge ourselves as producers of art, and as we continue to work tirelessly to not only meet but exceed the expectations of our customers.

Art is subjective and how we recognise and respond to it often varies greatly from person to person. So often it is an almost impossible task for people to find a piece of art that they truly resonate with, and thus for many, the process of finding and purchasing art has become overwhelming and exhausting. At FINEPRINT co we work closely with each customer to streamline this experience to ensure you find a quality piece of art which perfectly matches your own unique set of criteria.

This year’s Colour Collection showcases an impressive selection of new prints and best sellers highlighting the Pantone Colour of the Year, Classic Blue, alongside colours featured in the 2020 Dulux Colour Forecast. From homeowners seeking to fill a bare wall in their living room, to large scale international and Australian based clients including hotels, resorts and aged care facilities, we truly have something to match the taste and budget of all of our customers.

Designed by our in-house team of artists, the Open Edition print range boldly exhibits this year’s featured colours and styles, and represents a cost-effective solution for any home or project space.

For customers seeking something less stylised, our range of Photographic Edition and Artist Edition prints showcase elegant and exciting works by talented emerging and established artists.

Through Gallery One, we have also been lucky enough to forge long-standing relationships with some of Australia’s leading artists such as David Bromley, Kathrin Longhurst and Goompi Ugerabah.

From these collaborations we have been able to produce a series of Limited Edition prints, working closely with the artist to ensure reproductions are as close to the original artworks as possible.

Our 2020 Colour Collection has been carefully curated by our dedicated team at FINEPRINT co, and I truly believe it to be our most exceptional catalogue of work to date. From the entire FINEPRINT co team, we would like to personally thank you for your ongoing support and we look forward to our upcoming advances and future endeavours together.

Open Edition Stepping into the new decade, 2020 represents a year to reflect on perhaps the most versatile and dependable colour hue of the last 100 years – Classic Blue. Timeless and enduring, the hue is elegant in its simplicity, and fosters a sense of trust and resilience as a stable foundation on which we can herald a new era.

Instilling a sense of peace and tranquility, Classic Blue offers refuge and provides clarity in today’s world where advancements in technology outpace the human ability of comprehension. Reminiscent of the cloudless evening sky, Classic Blue represents a multitude of possibilities, allowing us to re-centre our thoughts while simultaneously encouraging us to think more deeply by looking beyond our existing scope of knowledge.

With the continued popularity of earthy colours, textures and materials in interior design, artworks featuring Classic Blue are expected to be in high demand this year as the hue evokes an association with the sky at dusk and gentle waves of the ocean, and strikes a perfect contrast against earthy beiges and browns.

To complement Classic Blue, secondary colours include a palette of greys and cool blues, accompanied by a variety of beiges and browns. We look forward to showcasing a series of popular prints from our FINEPRINT co artists, representative of the colour of the year, Classic Blue.

Jane Hoggard

Jane Hoggard Jane’s work takes a lighthearted view of traditional genre – still life, landscapes, abstraction and assemblages. Working in focused bursts reflects Jane’s personality, a busy family life and an appreciation of the environment in Northern NSW where she lives.

Evident in her experimentation of subject matter and mixed media compositions reveal hidden depths through multiple layering using collected snippets such as maps and manuals to create authentic, sentimental and curious ‘snapshots’ in her smaller works alongside acrylic, oil and charcoal in larger works.

Distant vessels on the night horizon as Brisbane’s river festival celebrations build and food markets crammed into ferry stops and bridge alcoves to attract passers-by. Worn jugs and Greek ceramics flash past your eyes if you are moving too fast along Southbank. A large piece where acrylic tepees and charcoal whimsy sit underneath a foreground of still life in oil stick and turps. A piece of lolly land with flying colours. “River Festival” talks about water as a meeting point, a gathering of celebration and jolly good cups of tea. It speaks of how grateful I am, the vibrant colours which are a celebration in themselves, the movement the slight chaos provides and the vessels to ride on or drink from describe festival – for everyone.

With a general feel and direction in mind I enjoy the creative, spontaneous process of this style of mono printing. For me, this approach seems to have endless the possibilities. Pamela Honeyfield Pamela is a Sydney based artist and works from her studio at One Plus 2 Artist Studios, Lilyfield. Pamela attended the National Art School at Darlinghurst Sydney 1989 – 1991 completing her Diploma in Fine Art, then went on to complete her Masters in Art Therapy at the University of Western Sydney Nepean in 1994 – 1995.

Pamela’s art has been acquired by Allen Arthur Robinson Collection in Sydney. She has been a finalist in numerous Art Awards such as The Blake Prize, The Paddington Art Prize, NSW Parliament Plein Air and the Pro Hart Broken Hill Outback Art Prize. Penny Prangnell Photographic Edition “Growing up on acreage in rural New South Wales, I often spent my afternoons after school wandering around the countryside on push bike or foot, capturing the landscape with my Dad’s film tape camera and experimenting with basic video editing programs. Not knowing at the time, this was later to become the foundations for a passion of landscape photography.

After completing high school and with a strong desire to immerse myself in the art and music scene, I relocated to Melbourne to pursue a dream of film.

During my studies of a Bachelor of Film & Television at Swinburne University in Melbourne, I became intrigued with the aerial perspective, seizing any opportunity to capture photography from the sky.

Prior to university, my intention was to specialise in video editing and affects, although progressively over the university course I naturally gravitated towards photography, more specifically, landscape photography.

Currently, I capture aerial photography professionally in and around Melbourne.

Photographically I am drawn to vibrant colours, patterns and the Earth’s landscape from above.”

Over the past 20 years David’s work has fostered widespread acclaim and notoriety in Australia and internationally. He has exhibited on nearly every continent including Asia, Europe, Africa and America.

In his practice, David has developed distinct themes and unique styles of painting; his best known are the nude female portraits and children’s series, but he often explores with various mediums and imagery that portray a certain whimsy. However diverse in his subject matter, David’s work is enduringly figurative, daringly coloured and executed with a graphic intention that is striking and memorable.

David’s practice has extended to significant work in sculpture, creating in both bronze and resin to bring to life the characters imbued within his paintings.

Most of our native growth needs fire to germinate the seeds. With only a minimal amount of water afterwards to start the new growth. This was an important part of our relationship with the land and maintaining sustainability.”
