What Is an Extended Stay Hotel? Most extended stay hotels consist of modified hotel suites, usually a single bedroom or loft setup, though you can occasionally find two-bedroom options. The rooms are fully furnished with a private bathroom and either a kitchen or kitchenette. There is usually a living room area with a couch that may or may not pull out into a bed, and there is almost always a working area with a desk and office chair, as well as Internet access and a landline. Extended stay hotels usually have a receptionist on duty 24 hours a day, and cleaning and laundry (for bed linens) service is performed on a daily or weekly basis.
