PUBLISHER’S NOTE

AS I WRITE THIS, we are still in lockdown here in Ontario and, I hope, as we continue to see more vaccines come into Canada, we start to see significant improvements in the coming months. The entire team at Cosmetics magazine is praying for stores to re-open so your beauty business can get back to some semblance of normalcy. On a brighter note, this issue is all about celebrating our 2021 “I Recommend” Beauty Awards, featured in the winners’ section starting on page 27. These product awards feature the brands beauty experts recommend most in over 20 diferent categories.

What makes these awards so unique is that Canada’s beauty experts choose the products with no brand influence or bias. The product with the most votes in each category is declared the best. Congratulations to all of this year’s winners!

Our next award program is the new Beauty’s Best Awards which combines the COSA Awards and the Canadian Beauty Awards to create a new event that we plan to celebrate in late October 2021. The nomination deadline for the Beauty’s Best Awards is June 15, 2021, so if you haven’t voted for your favourite service provider or nominated your favourite product, head over to our website at www.cosmeticsmag.com and click on the Beauty’s Best link.
