The international hairdressing contest known as The ABS Global Image Awards celebrates the passion and artistry of professional and emerging stylists in an image-based competition that features professional and student categories.

2024 ABS Global Image Award Theme – Maximalism

Maximalism is rooted in a more-is-more philosophy that often blends an eclectic mix of patterns, colors, textures, and objects. “Maximalism leans into big and bold decision-making regarding color, pattern, texture, shape, and form. The rule is… there are no rules. At some point after gaudiness, lavish opulence and brutalism,” you have a look that is presupposed on the idea more is more and nothing else. Images & looks should not be messy, and the hair, nails or makeup should remain the focus.
