Thank you for opening doors that were once shut and for giving me the opportunity to finish my schooling with a little less stress. - Holly Gauvin, Alumna
Rocky Mountain Inspired Giving By supporting College of the Rockies, our donors are directly impacting students. The generous support of our donors is changing the direction of many lives in our community, providing opportunity where it may not have existed for some and helping us provide infrastructure and training for in-demand jobs in our region. College of the Rockies serves people from all walks of life through a diverse range of programming including skilled trades, applied degrees, university transfer and workforce development. Our focus on the future and the applied nature of our education is essential to British Columbia’s prosperity. Donations support scholarships and bursaries for students, and provide faculty with cuttingedge equipment and facilities that will prepare students to compete. There are many reasons to give to College of the Rockies including honouring a loved one by naming a scholarship after them, or donating specialized equipment to support a program area you feel passionate about.
Our donors include alumni, parents, industry partners, community members, foundations, faculty and staff, whose generosity helps foster the skilled tradespeople, health care practitioners, entrepreneurs and community leaders of tomorrow.
We believe supporting today’s learners helps shape the business and community leaders of tomorrow. As we draw accounting students from the College, it only makes sense for us to support their educational pursuits. The College helps create a stronger, more vibrant community and helps retain our young, talented leaders of tomorrow.” - Mike Calder, CA, CPA. College of the Rockies donor; BDO Canada LLP Scholarship
“The College provides an opportunity for those who don’t want to live in large urban centres, or to move away from communities they love, to pursue vocations that have significance to them. The Adventure Tourism Business Operations program was so important to Dustin. We want a part of his legacy to include helping other students to accomplish their dreams.” - Pat Comer, Diana Lake Lodge. College of the Rockies donor; Dustin Bourns Leadership Award
“As a single mother who is also a full-time student, I am often worried about finances. Being the recipient of the SIDIT bursary allowed me to stress less about money and focus more on my school work and spending quality time with my son and for this I am forever grateful.” - Kristi-Lee, College of the Rockies student; SIDIT bursary recipient
