Carpenters build, maintain and repair structures made of wood and other materials. They typically work for construction companies, contractors and maintenance departments while others are self-employed.

PROGRAM INFORMATION Located in a real salon environment on campus, our 44-week Hairstylist Foundation program

Hairstylists and barbers cut and style hair and perform related services. They are employed in hairstyling or hairdressing salons, barber shops, vocational schools, health care establishments and theatre, film and television establishments.

HEAVY DUTY EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN Heavy Duty Mechanics work on industrial and construction vehicles, such as mining trucks and bulldozers; on heavy equipment used in construction, forestry, materials handling, landscaping, and land clearing.

PLUMBER Plumbers install, repair and maintain plumbing fixtures and water, drainage and venting systems. They can work for general contractors, plumbing companies, large organizations, or be self employed.

PROGRAM INFORMATION Apprenticeship training is for people who are currently working in industry and who are sponsored by an employer and registered with the Industry Training Authority (ITA). Get theory and practical hands-on experience in our realistic plumber shop setting to complete the apprenticeship program to obtain your Red Seal Certification. The Plumber Apprenticeship program prepares you for work as a plumber installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, heating and cooling systems in large industrial and commercial sites.

PROFESSIONAL COOK Professional Cooks plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities and prepare and cook meals and specialty foods. They are employed in restaurants, hotels, hospitals and other health care institutions, central food commissaries, clubs and similar establishments.

WELDER

PROGRAM INFORMATION

A welder is a person who has training in and is capable of welding ferrous and non-ferrous metals in all positions, on both plate and/or pipe. Welders use manual or semi-automatic welding equipment and flame-cutting, brazing and air-arcing equipment.
