Our Fire Training Certificate Program provides what you need to become a professional Fire Fighter. At Open House we’ll be demonstrating some of the equipment we use and skills we develop, including our Fire truck, ropes, ladders, hoses, and vehicle extrication. SIM-MOM BIRTHING SIMULATOR / BLOOD PRESSURE CHECK Does a career in Health Care appeal to you? Wait until you see the high-tech simulators we use in our programs. And while you’re at it, gauge just how excited you are about a potential career in nursing by having one of our Practical Nursing students take your blood pressure. AUGMENTED and VIRTUAL REALITY, and the FUTURE OF LEARNING Join Kelly Fyke for this immersive learning session centered around exploring how virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) can be integrated into classrooms. Attendees will each be able to try the Google Cardboard device and examine how this technology can be used to support student learning. International Education and Development – Travel Abroad Did you know that as a College of the Rockies student, you can take part in a one-or two-week field school in Europe or Africa, or even complete a full semester abroad? Kerry Brinkert, Manager International Projects and Partnerships will explain how you can get credit in your program while engaging in an incredible international experience that is sure to impress potential employers. Youth in Trades and Dual Credit Stop by and talk to Brian Conrad, Regional Transitions Coordinator, about how you can start your college education or skilled trades training while still in high school through the Youth in Trades and Dual Credit programs. Student Housing We have close to 200 student spaces in our on-campus housing, but it fills up fast. Get your application in early so you don’t miss out. Talk to our student housing team about what it’s like to live on campus.
