College of the Rockies has been an awesome place to begin my post-secondary education. It is especially great because of the small class sizes and one-on-one time with the instructors. The East Kootenay Scholastic Distinction Scholarship saved me thousands of dollars in tuition.

Too often we are so preoccupied with the destination, we forget the journey.

Let your mind start a journey thru a strange new world. Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before. Let your soul take you where you long to be... Close your eyes let your spirit start to soar, and you’ll live as you’ve never lived before.

– Erich Fromm

Aboriginal College of the Rockies greatly values the strong, successful relationship we have with our partners in Aboriginal Education, the Ktunaxa Nation, the Band Communities and the BC Métis Nation, Region Four. For many years the College has worked in collaboration with Aboriginal communities on programs and projects continuing to improve the access and quality of services for Aboriginal learners throughout the region. The Aboriginal Advisory Committee, with representation from each of these Aboriginal communities, is a very valuable resource to the College. Its members bring important community information to the College and provide guidance and advice regarding programming and services. In response to community and Nation input, new courses and programs offering relevant and extensive Aboriginal content are being developed each year.
