Formed in early 2024, the Lucy Butler Group (LBG) brings together the blended talents and expertise of Lucy, Ashley and Jennie to harness the “Power-of-3” for our clients. Pricing opinions, staging recommendations, marketing, open houses -- all elements to best sell your property are now enhanced by three seasoned industry experts with over half a billion in sales transactions.

For our buyer clients, the opportunity to identify your next home and develop proper offer strategies is now tripled in power. Charlotte’s real estate market is divided into micro markets that are very neighborhood specific. By having three agents actively working in the market, we can leverage each other’s knowledge within these niche markets to benefit our clients.

Lucy and Ashley are both native Charlotteans who know the city inside and out. Jennie offers an additional perspective, leveraging a background in interior design and construction to help guide client decisions. Jennie also has a firsthand understanding of relocation challenges and opportunities, having recently relocated her family from the nation’s Capital. This truly unique blend of LBG’s 45+ years of real estate experience, creativity, vision, and sharp analytical skills creates the winning combination that helps clients succeed in the dynamic and competitive Charlotte residential real estate market.

My goal is to combine superb service and accrued market knowledge in order to put my clients at ease in our dynamic Charlotte marketplace. It is all about the client- I help my clients discern with confidence what is best for them.

I love what I do and have a long history both in Charlotte and at Cottingham Chalk. I joined Cottingham Chalk because of its high professional standards and its commitment to the client. Having lived and worked in Charlotte my entire life, I understand the different nuances of its many neighborhoods. As a buyer’s agent, I am a match-maker, striving to find the best home for my clients. As a listing agent, I am determined to present my clients’ home in the best possible light, setting the stage for them to receive terms that meet their needs. My clients appreciate my level of detail and attention, and they understand that my fiduciary capacity is with them.

I am a self-proclaimed house-a-holic. I studied architecture and landscape architecture at the University of Virginia, and I am very interested in everything about houses. I often consult with friends, family, and clients on their projects.

It is a privilege for me to introduce newcomers to Charlotte, showing them its unique attributes and culture. There are so many good things to share about our city and its people.

GET TO KNOW THE TEAM ASHLEY MULLINS ASKEW

For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for houses. I think that is why I have lived in so many different neighborhoods in Charlotte (SouthPark, Uptown, Plaza Midwood, Dilworth, Myers Park and currently Barclay Downs). Our last three homes were built in the 1920’s – 1930’s and I am drawn to the character and history of older houses.

After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill with a Business Administration degree, I worked as a Senior Vice President in the financial services industry for 26 years with 14 of those years in Community Development Lending. I also received my Masters Degree in Community Planning from UNC-Charlotte. During this time, I worked with affordable housing developers across the U.S. to finance their multi-family properties to provide housing to low and moderate income individuals and families. Even after all of my commercial real estate experience, I continued to be drawn to residential real estate where I could work face to face with my clients using my expertise to navigate them through the home buying or selling process. Personally, I have been through the home buying and selling process on 8 of my own properties, so I also know what it takes to be a REALTOR who people want to work with again.

My goal is for you to feel like you are my only client with an unmatched attention to detail throughout the entire home buying or selling process. I take great care in building relationships with my clients that last long after the closing table. I absolutely love what I do!

Jennie brings a wealth of professional experience and her personal passion for residential real estate, design, and construction to her client work. Just like her colleagues of the Lucy Butler Group, Jennie’s single goal is to delight her clients so much so that they want to share their experience with others.

A native of the greater Washington, D.C. area, Jennie and her family relocated to Charlotte to be closer to her husband’s financial services clients, as well as to be closer to their extended family sprinkled throughout the Carolinas.

Jennie is a graduate of the University of Virginia and spent the first 25 years of her career in marketing, communications, and nonprofit fundraising. A proud adoptive mother, she enjoys supporting numerous Charlotte child welfare-related causes. Jennie lives in the SouthPark area with her family and in her limited free time, she enjoys being outside – whether in her own backyard, boating on Lake Norman, or away at the coast or the mountains.
