Murder Mystery Thrills Audience It was another first for Thetford Players when they performed their first full length play, Agatha Christie’s The Hollow at The Carnegie last month. The ‘whodunnit’ was originally cancelled due to the pandemic so it was a real achievement for the cast and crew to finally get to show week. Standout performances from Dani Dunsmore as Henrietta Angkatell and Lynne Jefferies as Lady Angkatell, topped a great cast with Andrew Hamilton and Rose Ash making their debut. The action takes place at the home of Sir Henry and Lady Lucy Angkatell, The Hollow during a weekend gathering of family and friends. Mix in a Hollywood starlet, the butler, maids, shooting lessons, an attempted poisoning and a couple of detectives and you have a story of secret passion, unrequited love and a murder!

working together as a team, with a superb production team in the background enabling the cast to all deliver strong performances. One member of the audience said, “All the actors were excellent, so we were engrossed in the story as the performance was so convincing.” Another said that the storyline had them hooked and they had no idea of who the murderer was until they were revealed at the very end.
Caroline Foot returned as Director, her first production since My Fair Lady in 2017 with Jo Cooper as Producer. “I’m really happy to be back, it’s been great fun, the cast has been great and everyone has put in so much hard work.” Jo said that she was thrilled to be back putting on another Simon Long Adverthad 2018.qxp_Layout 1 13/09/2018 10:01Players Page 1will return on January 21st and show and thatHP Caroline joined as the Director.
