A new model for Schools work in September. Q. When is a door not a door? A. When it’s ajar. Does this make sense? Probably not but as we go into a new school year there are lots of changes afoot that will all become apparent very soon! For the last 15 years or so years I have been going into schools and taking acts of collective worship, this was getting to be quite a mammoth task and a few people were taken on to help with the task, unfortunately local funding was not sufficient to sustain this. But there has been a rise in the number of volunteers going into schools locally, so with this in mind I am aiming to spend more time in schools serving them in ways that they require. How will this work in reality, watch this space!
Prayer Spaces and work in Secondary Schools Last year we did a number of prayer spaces in local schools, this year we have got more planned we are also doing some more work in and with the local secondary schools, building on the success of GSUS Live last May and June in October we are having three days of Test of Faith in the local Kings Lynn High schools.
