Hello Bowman, I would like to introduce my accounting firm’s oil and gas related services to the Bowman area. Oil and gas production is greatly expanded industry in this area. We have always prepared some tax returns which included this type of income. Here is what I did to help me get up to speed: • I took a day-long tour of the Bakken from a high school friend who has been the GM of a Dickinson based oil company for the last 30 years. • I made numerous trips to Western North Dakota trying to find an opportunity that works for my firm. That led us to Bowman. • I read and studied a 770-page book on “The Fundamentals of Oil and Gas Accounting.” • I attended the Louisiana CPA Society’s Oil and Gas Conference. Those people have been doing oil and gas for 100 years. • I have developed a network of business contacts throughout the area. In addition to our bookkeeping and tax services, we expect to develop prorate services for the many trucking companies operating in the area. We do our best to find ways to help our clients.
