Here he had access to fresh fruits and vegetables, and he states, “Here is where I realized I want to grow food.” In 2011, Birch returned to his family farm in Metcalfe County, Kentucky, and then in June, 2013, he founded Beechmont Farms in Bowling Green. In May, 2014, Beechmont Farms launched their year-round CSA (or Buyer’s Club). In addition to the many items that Beechmont Farms Beechmont Farms produces, it partners with area farms to offer more variety.
