Is Jesus Really Coming Again? In Acts 1:11 when Jesus lifted off this earth there appeared two angels that said, “This same Jesus that ye see go away shall come again in like manner.” The first time Jesus came, he came as a baby born in Bethlehem of Judah. But this time he will come in the clouds with great power. We are given many scriptures so that day would not come and find us unprepared. Many people doubt that this event will take place in our day. Some doubt that he will return at all. But the scriptures are very plain and to the point that this event is in the very near future. Here are three prophecies that point to this event. Jesus said in Luke 21:2932 that the generation that saw Israel become a nation would not pass until all things would be fulfilled. Israel was declared to be a nation in May of 1948. A generation is about 70 years. The fullness of this generation will be in the year of 2018. This is not very far in our future. Daniel prophesied (Daniel 8:14), that in the 2300 years after the invasion of Alexander the Great would the old city of Jerusalem be returned to Israel. Alexander invaded in the year of 334 BC. The six day war in June of 1967 was the fulfillment of this prophecy. The prophecies in Ezekiel chapters 37 and 38 are now in progress of being fulfilled in the Middle East. This war that is a daily news item is the Word of God coming to pass just as the prophet said. The answer to the question of Jesus coming again is, YES!
