Teletrac Navman will be showing its AI Smart dashcams and an EV readiness tool at this year’s event. The Smart Dashcam has both forward and driver-facing cameras and can be integrated with the company’s TN360 platform. Footage provides fleet managers with insights into driver behaviour and incident recordings, allowing managers to recommend personalised coaching for drivers.

The EV readiness tool has been designed to guide companies through the process of moving to electric vehicles. Providing operating data from existing vehicles will help fleet managers to decide where EVs make a viable proposition and how they can be integrated into a larger fleet portfolio.

DALTEC LIGHTS UP

Commercial vehicle lighting specialist Daltec is launching its own brand of European-certified, R65-approved lighting. This will include light bars, beacons, working lamps, warning lights and other products. The company will also introduce an own-brand auto electrical cable range, including single to 13-core thin wall cable, speaker wires and earthing braids.

TYRE PRESSURES

Air-Seal Products has announced an online shop, that will allow customers to search for a range of puncture prevention solutions. The family-run business has been supplying tyre sealants for more than 20 years and this will allow faster ordering of products.

FUTURE TECH

Following a successful launch last year, the ITT Hub exhibition will return to Farnborough International on May 1112 this year. With a focus on future technology in all sectors of the market, the ITT Hub exhibition aims to bring together everything that operators of vans, trucks and buses need to know about the transport business of tomorrow.

Based both inside and on an extensive outdoor exhibition area, ITT Hub is split into a number of dedicated sector hubs, giving visitors the chance to focus on specific areas of the transport and logistics business. The exhibition is open over two days, with free parking on site and a free shuttle bus service from Farnborough’s main rail station.

The show is expecting around 160 exhibitors across the vehicle, warehouse, fleet management, software, safety and compliance sectors. Commercial vehicle manufacturers include DAF Trucks, Renault Trucks, Volta Trucks, Ford, Harris Maxus and Schmitz Cargobull, while passenger

With a keynote speech from space scientist Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock MBE, key speakers will represent the National Grid, UPS and Logistics UK, among others, with topics ranging from battery electric technology and gas in HGVs, to futureproofing the supply chain and the future for autonomous deliveries. Of particular interest to van operators will be a discussion on day two of the show, that will look at when is the right time for companies to make the switch to electric vehicles.

Future Van Hub

Showcasing the latest innovations in low and zero carbon light commercials, this section of the show will be sponsored by Lex Autoleasing. Expect to see the latest electric vans from the likes of Maxus, Ford, Mercedes-Benz and Renault Trucks on display, with an opportunity to test drive some models.

Cold Chain Hub

New for 2022, the Cold Chain section of the show, sponsored by TCS&D, will look at the future of chilled and refrigerated transport, with particular emphasis on carbon reduction. Companies on display include Petit Forestier UK, Paneltex, CoolKit, Carrier Transicold, Cool Van, Hultsteins Diesel Free Refrigeration, Thermo King and other specialists from the temperature-controlled logistics business.

Energy Theatre Hub

Hosted by National Grid and Western Power distribution, this thought-leadership theatre will have three panel discussions each day, with transport industry guests covering topics affecting energy and infrastructure.

Government Hub

This dedicated showcase will host eight government entities, available to meet the industry for round table discussions and networking. Visitors will be able to access the latest government support, incentives or insight, forming the backbone of the road transport sector’s decarbonisation strategy. The show is expecting around 160 exhibitors

Talent Hub

With the aim of inspiring, developing and retaining people within the logistics sector, the Talent Hub will host daily presentations from key industry representatives. There will be 20-minute speaker sessions, with time for questions and experts on hand, to advise and guide those looking to develop their career within the transport sector.

The EV Café

This is an online community that comes together every month to talk EV and low emission transport. The team behind the EV Café will host a series of discussion each day, with a range of guests available to discuss and challenge the topics of the day.

Ride & Drive

There will be a chance for visitors to the exhibition to test drive up to 20 vans, trucks, buses and micro mobility vehicles, on a road route around the exhibition centre. Visitors will need to provide a current driving licence and undergo a Driver Check prior to taking part.
