Luxurious and peaceful getaways at Hollicarrs Holiday Park

For luxurious and peaceful getaways, look no further than Hollicarrs Holiday Park near York. The family-run facility sits within the idyllic Escrick country estate and offers an excellent range of timber lodges with their own private hot tubs and verandas, all set in woodland which is a natural habitat for diverse and fascinating wildlife.

Carefully landscaped, Hollicarrs holds a Gold David Bellamy Award for Conservation as well as its 5 Star Quality in Tourism certificate. It occupies 30 acres of the 250 acre wider estate, which has been in the same family for more than 350 years. Amenities include walking and cycling trails, wildflower meadows, a bowling green, tennis court and fishing lake. An onsite bistro serves delicious daytime meals.

The holiday lodges are all privately owned, fully equipped and furnished to high standards. They vary in size, but cater for four to six people each. Some are available for short breaks as well as longer stays. A few are available to buy.

Despite being something of a natural oasis of peace and tranquillity, the park is close to the A19 and gives easy access to York itself, eight miles away and with iconic attractions such as Jorvic Viking Museum, the National Railway Museum and York Minster. It is also handy for the Yorkshire Wolds, North Yorkshire Moors and east coast.
