At the heart of a vast walled estate, you’ll find Braxted Park’s magnificent country house and its stunning gardens. The intimate gardens that connect Braxted House to the grand Wedding Pavilion provide an idyllic setting for any wedding vision. Within the historic Walled Garden guests can enjoy a series of themed ‘rooms’ that include a romantic English Garden, a Knott Garden and an Italian Garden. The year-round interest each provides creates beautiful and varied backdrops for wedding photographs.

Celebrate in style

Combing elegance and romance throughout its interior, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to saying, ‘I do’. The Orangery exudes romance, with Roman-inspired murals and arched windows that look out over the grounds. Alternatively, during the warmer months, tie the knot outdoors at the heart of the Walled Garden as your guests soak up the sun. Braxted Park even has its own church, so you could have a religious ceremony just a few minutes away from the house should you wish to. Each option is capable of seating up to 170 guests.

When it comes to receptions, The Pavilion is perfectly equipped for parties both large and small. This versatile space offers plenty of room for up to 350 guests and comes with neutral décor so you can truly make it your own. The in-house catering team are on hand to create some spectacular menus for your special day, while come evening, a state-ofthe-art sound and lighting system and huge dancefloor ensures you can enjoy yourselves long into the night.

The Lawn is nestled within three acres of perfectly striped lawns, wonderful seasonally planted flower beds, blossom trees and a stunning rose garden which, with its miniature privet hedges, makes the most perfect backdrop for an outdoor wedding in the stunning gazebo. This all sits within The Lawn Estate with its 120 acres of rolling parkland and ancient woods. The beautiful Georgian Manor House with 100ft of covered, colonnaded Terrace has an outside bar during the summer.

Celebrate in style

Ceremony capacity in the Grand Hall is up to 100 guests seated (more with additional guests standing) or up to 130 for outside weddings in the wedding gazebo.

Everything effectively revolves around the Grand Hall which acts as the hub with the bar, dancefloor, Blue Drawing Room and Orangery (dining room) all spoking from it, creating the most fabulous entertaining and party space. The capacity for the Grand Hall and its linked rooms is 150 and for the Orangery, 130 seated.

Hatfield Place is a historic Georgian country house sitting within its own grounds of approximately 15 acres. The house can be reached by a treelined driveway that leads to a large, gravelled sweep to the front.

The house offers a true country house feel, with a welcoming reception hall, beautiful Ballroom leading out to the terrace and an elegant Drawing Room. In addition to the house, there’s a beautiful Orangery within the Walled Garden which has been carefully landscaped to create the perfect balance of the English country garden but with a modern-day twist. Some 14 luxurious bedroom suites are also available with each room being individually styled and furnished to a very high standard.

Celebrate in style

Ceremonies can take place in the Ballroom with subtle grey tones and rich silk draping offers a stylish and modern feel. This stunning room overlooks the grounds and seats 60 guests.

The Terrace overlooking the grounds is a beautiful location for an outdoor wedding. This location seats 150 guests.

The Walled Garden Gazebo, is also such a pretty setting for an outdoor wedding. Located within the garden itself and surround by the picturesque views of the garden. Finally, the Ceremony Hall, is a beautiful oak beamed hall and seats up to 150 guests.

For your reception, the Ballroom can seat up to 60 guests. In addition to this exquisite house, there’s the beautiful Orangery and Walled Garden. The Orangery can seat from 60 up to 200 guests and provides a contemporary light filled space overlooking the picturesque view of the Walled Garden.

The formally landscaped wedding garden has been cleverly planted to show interest all year. So, no matter what time of year a wedding takes place there’s always some formal structure and colour in the garden. Beyond the garden is the woodland area for woodland weddings fronted by the recently renovated pond and fountain providing an elegant arrival.

The Main Barn known as the Grain Store incorporates a large, open fireplace and mezzanine gallery to make full use of the 35-foot-high ceilings. The Grain Store is centrally located between the bar and dance barn helping your evening flow.

The marquee is available from April to October and is set in the wedding garden and seats up to 150 guests.

Adjoining the Grain Store, the Foundry is a perfect space for out of season weddings with a central fireplace and overlooking the formal wedding garden.

Set beyond the formal wedding garden is the woodland area which has a meandering pathway mown through it to a ceremony area with seating for up to 150 guests.

Finally, set within the house is the oak panelled drawing room for smaller more intimate weddings for up to 25 guests.

Receptions take place on the west facing terrace overlooking the wedding garden with capacity for up to 150 guests. Out of season receptions take place inside the Chitting Shed around the bar area for up to 150 guests.
