Elizabeth Wong is the talented wedding and event stylist behind her Oxfordshire-based company Elizabeth Weddings which offers bespoke styling services and prop hire. She tells us, “For winter weddings, candles are a must! They add warmth and light and create a romantic ambience.” She also describes how pieces that follow the natural theme are trending now because they're eco-friendly. “Pine cones can be easily collected outside along with dried leaves or pumpkins for an autumn wedding. Log slices and log tealight holders can be hired which are sustainable choices. Consider introducing orange slices and cinnamon sticks for a wintery Christmas-themed wedding.”

Elizabeth also creates handmade stationery by designing bespoke drawings of anything, for example, wedding flowers. A template is made and then printed on to stationery pieces. Taniece Simmons, the owner of Buckinghamshire-based Hire Heaven has been a qualified florist for many years and she also offers a venue styling service with new items available to hire. She tells us, “With flower costs and prices hitting an all-time high, a majority of fresh flowers are grown and imported from Holland. I always recommend using fresh flowers for the bouquets which are the main floral focus that will feature in the wedding photographs. To decorate the venue, I suggest using artificial blooms and provide two ranges of large artificial flowers available for hire. Both ranges consist of matching table centrepieces, archways and floral garlands that can be used to decorate the ceremony and top table.”

Hire Heaven also offer a service where they can move flowers around the venue to optimise their use throughout the day. Taniece tells us, “You pay to hire the installations so use them as much as you can throughout the day. Arches can be moved from the ceremony venue or the church to the reception room and placed behind the top table or at the entrance to the venue. The following day, we will take it all away.
