The striking and distinctive Ballygally Castle on the Antrim Coast Road, in Northern Ireland, is part of the Hastings Hotels portfolio and is a unique 17th-century castle overlooking the golden sands of Ballygally Bay with uninterrupted views across the Irish Sea.

Recognised as one of the Top 30 Best Hotels in the Rest of the UK in the prestigious 2022 Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards, this beautiful castle is perfectly located for mini-mooners to explore the local area including: Causeway Coastal Route, Bushmills Distillery, Carrickfergus Castle, Royal Portrush Golf Course, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and the popular Game of Thrones Tour! For those wishing to explore on foot, enjoy beautiful walks at Carnfunnock Country Park which is within walking distance, or simply relax and enjoy a leisurely stroll on the beach opposite the hotel.

The castle has 54 tastefully decorated bedrooms, some have exquisite original beamed ceilings, while others enjoy views of the sea and mountains. From the Antrim Suite and new Coastal Deluxe Rooms with panoramic views, to the Garden wing and the original period rooms, uniquely shaped by the imposing architecture, the castle is bursting with bedrooms full of character and charm.

Foodies staying here post-vows can indulge at Ballygally Castle’s Garden Restaurant. It offers views over the grounds and serves a delicious traditional Irish breakfast, an excellent table d’hôte dinner menu, as well as a range of daily specials, where chefs use only the best of local produce to provide a wide range of culinary delights – why not treat yourself to its famous afternoon tea!

WILLASTON

"We are so happy we chose Pollards for our wedding reception, Cara and her team did a superb job being attentive to our needs in the planning. On the day she made sure everything ran smoothly throughout and the staff were extremely helpful, we had a great day!

The food was delicious for every course, and the canapés went down extremely well in the outside Barnhouse and gorgeous gardens with our guests. They catered for our guests with dietary requirements superbly, and they were well looked after.

It was the perfect venue for the number of friends and family that we wanted, and it created a lovely intimate wedding which we will never forget!

We particularly loved the private bar area and decoration of the main room which made the whole day feel so special and we couldn't recommend Pollards enough!"
