If you have your sights set on something different for your big day, check out Cheshire Woodland Weddings. Located in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, this 15-acre woodland can host your ceremony in a romantic outdoor cabana for a truly relaxed rustic wedding experience and atmosphere. You have the choice of three spaces in which to tie the knot. The
Woodland Ceremony Area is a quaint thatched hut with bench-style seating for 150 guests among the private woodland. The Bandstand is more intimate with space for 50 nearest and nearest. It’s located on the lawn, also with bench seating, overlooking the lake and fountain. For indoor “I dos” the Barn can hold 150 seated on benches. Decorated with a rustic vibe it also has LOVE letters at the end of the aisle.

Wedding breakfasts and celebrations are also hosted in the large open barn, where you can welcome 150 day and 200 evening guests. There’s a lounge area and patio too with wood fire heaters.
The lodges on site have exclusive offers running throughout the year for couples to stay free if you book all 12, or a free breakfast for the two of you. Wine tastings are available on request.

The Chester Grosvenor

The largest ceremony space is The Westminster Suite for 50 to 180 guests. With its own entrance, cloakroom and bar area, it’s a spacious and versatile option comprised of two rooms: the Belgrave Suite and the Aldford Suite. These can be configured to match your requirements, and is also the place to host your reception, which can be celebrated with 50 to 180 guests.

The Square At Chester Zoo

The luxury 200-capacity venue, The Square, is now open following a three-year project to restore a Grade II listed stable block, which has stood at the heart of Chester Zoo since it opened in 1931. The original structures were once home to some of the Zoo’s first animals including lions, bears and chimpanzees. Now, the historical building offers a one-of-a-kind setting for weddings, where you’re able to tie the knot in proximity to 27,000 animals!

Featuring a host of preserved original features that tell the story of its remarkable history, the building boasts an impressive gated entrance, a large private courtyard, exposed brick walls, vaulted rafters and large windows overlooking newly-created gardens. Many of the patterns and textures used throughout The Square draw inspiration from some of the endangered species the Zoo is working to protect. The Atrium is the main event room here and can accommodate 200 guests with three further reception and breakout rooms taking the total capacity to 380. Each of the spaces can be used independently or used in combination, giving the venue the flexibility to host any wedding large or small.

Cheshire View can be found in Christleton, just four miles from the historical city of Chester.
