Crowning glory

AsI write the nation is excitedly anticipating the coronation of King Charles III. Whether you’re a royalist, or merely delighted at the prospect of an extra bank holiday, there’ll be something to celebrate. At least for the foreseeable future, May will be the month we commemorate the King’s jubilees, so we’re ready to party. Although you may be royaled out by the time you read this, I always think of our readers as queens and kings, princesses and princes, and believe you all deserve the royal treatment on your big day, so why not consider adding a regal edge to your nuptials?

Jewel-toned colour palettes are certainly seeing a surge in popularity, thanks to their opulent, rich hues; and shades such as purple and red have long been associated with royalty. When it comes to dining, think banqueting tables bedecked in gold cutlery and crystal, with tall candelabra and centrepieces.
