The impressive Grade II listed Islington Town Hall, with its grand façade and colourful displays of flowers, is a real focal point of Upper Street and home to an endless choice of reception spaces. On arrival, friends and family can gather in the courtyard at the front of the building before the ceremony, and the main steps are perfect for them to greet you with confetti as you leave.
At the top of the Town Hall’s impressive sweeping marble staircase, you enter the grand ceremony room that is the Council Chamber. The room features an original vaulted ceiling and beautiful stained-glass windows. The horseshoe seating layout ensures that none of your guests will be more than five rows from you, and although it seats 50 guests, it retains the intimate atmosphere. After you’ve tied the knot, the famous marble corridor’s the perfect place for a romantic moment together.
When it comes to your photos, the backstreets of Islington are picturesque and charming, with many beautiful small parks, the historic Camden Passage and Regents’ Canal all being nearby.
