Do you know what I’ve enjoyed most about this issue? Looking at our reader weddings! I always love a good ‘how we got together and how my partner proposed’ story, but in fact it was seeing my couples crease up during their celebrations that really put a smile on my face. Yes, it’s a bit of a cliché, but my word it’s true. Looks fade, but laughter is everlasting, so nothing’s more satisfying than seeing two people who truly love each other have a good old snigger at what could well be the silliest of things; something that no one else will truly get but them.

With this in mind let me turn your attention to the three amazing reader weddings we have in store. Over on page 27 meet Anna and Matt, who were friends for years before finally realising they were meant to be together. Trust me, you’ll want to read all about their big day – Mr Blobby and ABBA both rocked up!

Next, say hello to Robyn and Lauren, over on page 32. We’ve never heard of a bottle of Lucozade being thrown over someone as a way of flirting, but it must have worked, with the couple saying, ‘We do!’ at The Willows at the Woodmans. Finally, turn to page 39 to read all about Sarah and Andrew’s Langley Castle celebrations. Sarah’s dress really does have the ‘wow’ factor and is proof you don’t have to be decked out in white for your big day.

All that plus the best North East cake-makers (p45), unbelievable gowns (p67), honeymoon hotspots (p87) and more! Claire x
