Yolanda and Jordan opted for a black and white theme for their big day at Hidden River Barn

Yolanda and Jordan met in 2013 in a nightclub. “He was absolutely obsessed with me,” laughs Yolanda. “After six months, I decided to go on a date with him, and here we are nearly 10 years later! Jordan proposed while we were away for his 30th birthday in Canada. We were at the top of Whistler Mountain when he asked me; it was a massive surprise! He even had a custom engagement ring made, which was stunning!” Here Yolanda shares some of her favourite moments from their big day...

We were looking at staying the night at Hidden River Barn because its cabins reminded us of Canada, and when we realised they had a wedding barn, we knew it was the perfect place for us.

We decided to have two long tables and an intimate top table. Bramble & Bloom decorated these with greenery, white roses and pampas runners.

For our favours, we gave our guests a scratch card each and individual thank you cards.

Jordan and I dressed the venue and made it feel like our own. We used pampas clouds, a sweet cart, a beer pong table, pillar candles and glass cylinder jars.

We had an owl drop the rings during the ceremony, they then stayed for pictures and so people could hold them.

I wore a Martina Liana dress from Goldie’s Bridal. After watching Say Yes to the Dress for many years, I knew I wanted a Martina dress. From the leg split to the detachable straps and sleeves, it was simply perfect. I had a custom-made veil in the same fabric as the train and a mini version of the dress made for my little girl by Diva Designs For You. To finish the look, Joanne Nichol Hair Stylist made signature pearls that I slotted in my hair that were very similar to the ones on my Jimmy Choo shoes.

To keep everyone entertained, we had a live singer who stayed for the canapés. We also had a sax player who came just as dessert finished, and the dancefloor was bouncing all night long!

It was the best day ever from start to finish, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat if I could!

We entered to Crazy In Love which all our guests thought we planned out, but we only decided 30 seconds beforehand. It was a hit, and so many people have said it was amazing!

For our honeymoon, we are heading to Miami and Florida Keys and are so looking forward to it! Florida Keys was a place I visited with my grandad, and I’ve been dying to go back and take Jordan with me.
