Lauren and Levi chose a burgundy, gold and nude colour scheme for their big day at Crug Glâs Country House & Restaurant

Lauren and Levi met when they were children through family and friends. “As we became teenagers, we were attracted and interested in each other, but as we went to different schools, nothing ever happened,” says Lauren. “Years later, we bumped into each other on a night out. We went on a date not long after and have been together ever since.”

Levi proposed after Lauren had given birth to their second child. “It was super romantic as it was just us in the room with our perfect newborn,” shares the bride. “It’s a memory I will treasure forever.”

Here she shares some of her favourite moments from their big day...

We had ideas of what we wanted the day to be like, and when we visited Crug Glâs Country House & Restaurant, we fell in love with the venue and its owners. Nothing was too much trouble, and the Cowshed was the perfect space for our big day.

Levi and I opted for a rustic glam theme with burgundy and gold accents. Our flowers included a lot of pampas grass and dried flowers, and the décor team executed the look perfectly. The day was everything I had ever dreamed of and more.

We included photos of us from the ages of one to nine on each of the tables.

Our favours were burgundy macaroons with brushed gold.

Our centrepieces were tea lights and gold stands topped with flowers.

Cake Carousel provided our three-tiered cake, which was decorated with dried flowers and pearls.

My gown was discontinued not long after I bought it, so I felt very lucky to have it. I tried on a load of styles, but this dress was just so perfect and like nothing else I had seen. I accessorised with a cathedral-length veil, a clip in my hair and jewellery.

I was very emotional and excited, which I was surprised by as I thought I would be super calm. We waited four years for our big day due to the pandemic and having to move our date twice, so being with our friends and family celebrating was the best.

Having our photos taken at the Blue Lagoon, surrounded by the spectacular scenery, was one of my favourite moments. I also loved seeing our two boys in their suits.
