Adela and Chris opted for a travel theme for their big-day’s styling

Adela and Chris met through mutual friends.

Seven years later Chris popped the question while the happy couple were having afternoon tea at their future wedding venue, Buxted Park Hotel. “I was pleasantly surprised, as the love of my life got on one knee!” says Adela.

The big date was set, 17th September 2022, with the pair tying the knot at local church St Margaret the Queen, Buxted, before heading to Buxted Park Hotel for the reception. Here, Adela tells us more about their day…

We love Buxted Park, from its surroundings to its atmosphere.

We felt very happy and everything was wonderful. Even the weather was perfect, nice and sunny.

Chris wore a navy suit with white tie, while the groomsmen had lilac ties.

I wore a white Aire Barcelona dress in a mermaid-style with veil, satin shoes, silver necklace and earrings

Our theme was travel as we love travelling to different countries, we’re in a multi-cultural relationship as well.

The place settings were wooden hearts with guests’ names on, and the tables were named after places we’d been together.

Chris’s speech was so special for me – a memorable moment.

We had a live band, The Redfords, and they were excellent; everybody commented how good they were.

We loved our sparkler and smoke bomb momets, they made for really beautiful pictures.

Our three tier cake had a blue and white design with white flowers adorning it.

We had a photo booth, which our guests truly enjoyed. We also had a sweet cart for the children.
