Carlton Towers has a distinguished history spanning 800 years, overlooking 250 acres of private parkland and woodland. Here, couples have exclusive use of the house and gardens; with many opting to use the space in front of the house for drinks and photos.

Grand weddings or intimate ceremonies can all be catered within Carlton Towers’ house and grounds. The Venetian Drawing Room (96 seated) boasts gold walls, an impressive fireplace and silver chandeliers. There’s also The Picture Gallery, with brass chandeliers and two fireplaces (144 seated). You’ve also The Card Room (36 seated); an intimate room with oak-lined walls and fossil limestone chimneypiece. You can even wed in The Walled Garden Vineyard (36 seated), with lines of beautifully presented vines nestled among old English roses, herbs and fruit trees. You’ll then host your reception in any of the above spaces.

High Trenhouse is set in three acres of land, with the breath-taking Yorkshire Dales as its backdrop. Here you’ll find woodland glades, wildflowers, ponds and water features; the perfect setting for adding a marquee or alter for an outdoor celebration. With a licence for outdoor weddings, as well as indoor, the choice is yours.

Rustic and full of charm, High Trenhouse offers two ceremony rooms and comfortable overnight accommodation – along with two bars, dining area and farmhouse kitchen. As well as being able to wed outside in front of 50, the Littondale Suite provides a wonderful space for smaller weddings of 50, while the Malhamdale Suite (also 50 capacity) is situated in a separate building to the main house and has wooden beams and lots of natural light. Afterwards, enjoy your fully catered three-course meal in the dining room, while also enjoying drinks on the veranda.

Just a few miles from Leeds, Lineham Farm is a mix of rural charm and cosy farmhouse. Its wedding barn has wooden beams adorned with fairy lights and large windows set in traditional stone, while the adjoining lounge area centres around a fireplace with working log burning stove. The central point of any wedding here must be its courtyard, an open space creating an inviting atmosphere to host drinks, food, music and more. Wandering through the courtyard brings you to The Green, a woodland space for up to 130. Here you’ll also find seating with fire pits, ideal for toasting marshmallows as the sun sets. Alternatively, wed in the barn (capacity 100), the courtyard (capacity 100), or the hillside (capacity 130), before hosting either a formal sit-down occasion in the barn, or festival-style affair in the courtyard. Just imagine food trucks pitching up at the entrance, serving culinary delights while guests relax at tables underneath festoon lighting.

A Grade II Georgian estate house, Saltmarshe is fronted by the River Ouse and is set in 17 acres of Yorkshire countryside. The parkland offers opportunities to explore riverside walks and ancient trees, while the walled garden features herbaceous borders, sweeping lawns and treelined walkways.

Marrying here is nothing short of spectacular, with several ceremony spaces to choose. The Morning Room (capacity 110) is the largest indoor room, with large skylights and ample windows for tons of natural light. The Drawing Room (65 guests) is perfect for an intimate ceremony; the Walled Garden (110 guests) ideal for an English country garden affair; while the Lime Tree Avenue (110 guests) sees you making an entrance down the old staircase into a row of trees with festoon lighting. You can even wed by the beautiful backdrop of the Pond (110 guests)!

Originally a manor house built in 1906, Whirlow Brook Hall sits high on an elevated terrace overlooking the gardens, creating a ‘wow’ factor as guests arrive via the long driveway. Here you can marry in front of up to 80 in the Oak Room, a beautiful oak panelled space featuring an original fireplace. For ceremonies of up to 120, choose the Garden Suite, which boasts views of the gardens and is full of natural daylight. Your breakfast and evening reception is then held again in the Garden Suite, with doors leading onto a private terrace where guests can enjoy drinks or take in the evening air.
