Sarah Hall and Kate Page, the talent behind Ambience Venue Styling Cheltenham organise and run weddings and events in and around Cheltenham and the Cotswolds. Having worked together for ten years styling events, they have the combined skills to create a bespoke look for each couple. They offer free design consultations to discuss their requirements in their Cotswold-based design studio.
On the day of the wedding, the duo will deliver the stock, dress the venue and then return the following day to collect everything – leaving couples to enjoy every minute of their celebration. With the 2023 brides in mind, Susanne Kennedy from Milston Flower Barn Wedding and Event Florist based in Salisbury, Wiltshire reveals that the florist has launched private DIY wedding flower classes for next year. “These are fun-filled workshops for brides, grooms, bridesmaids and family members who want to help contribute to a do-it-yourself wedding theme and create their own natural, seasonal wedding flowers,” she tells us, “It’s a great way to start preparing for the big day, whilst learning a skill that will come in handy for many occasions, not just weddings.”
Susanne explains how arranging your own wedding flowers is a perfect way to bring a unique and personal touch to the special day, whilst spending some quality time with your partner or loved ones. “You’ll learn how to make bouquets, buttonholes, floral crowns and table decorations using seasonal flowers from British growers,” she says. “Each class can be tailored to suit your needs.”

PAXTON & WHITFIELD UNVEIL NEW FESTIVE PRODUCTS
2022 marks Paxton & Whitfield’s 225th birthday – a year during which the cheesemonger has certainly not rested on its laurels. The brand has opened its new, state-of-the-art maturation rooms in the Cotswolds, released a new “XO” range of hand-matured, artisan cheese and co-developed a new British cheese called Cullum, named after the pioneering founder of the business Stephen Cullum, to commemorate this impressive milestone year.
For Christmas 2022, the UK’s oldest cheesemonger, founded during the reign of King George III, is looking back to its 1797 ‘Georgian’ roots. The Christmas photography is inspired by the Georgian era’s natural festive decorations of evergreens, fruit and herbs and its new cheese.

Scott Goodfellow, a judge at the awards commented: “The standard of loaves submitted was very high, reflecting the excellent quality of the UK bread industry,” while Stephen Hallam praised the “skill and passion for baking good bread here in the UK.” Coming up against just under 500 loaves submitted to the awards from around the UK, Michael’s success is certainly one worth celebrating.
